O aniversário de um idoso é celebração de uma vida longa e cheia de experiências com Deus. A Bíblia honra os cabelos brancos como coroa de glória e prova da fidelidade divina.
Give thanks to the Lord, for he is good!
His faithful love endures forever.
This is the day the Lord has made.
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
I will praise the Lord at all times.
I will constantly speak his praises.
The Lord is my strength and shield.
I trust him with all my heart.
He helps me, and my heart is filled with joy.
I burst out in songs of thanksgiving.
You have given me greater joy
than those who have abundant harvests of grain and new wine.
You will show me the way of life,
granting me the joy of your presence
and the pleasures of living with you forever.
The one thing I ask of the Lord—
the thing I seek most—
is to live in the house of the Lord all the days of my life,
delighting in the Lord’s perfections
and meditating in his Temple.
Teach us to realize the brevity of life,
so that we may grow in wisdom.
Gray hair is a crown of glory;
it is gained by living a godly life.
The glory of the young is their strength;
the gray hair of experience is the splendor of the old.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.
"Now, as you can see, the Lord has kept me alive and well as he promised for all these forty-five years since Moses made this promise—even while Israel wandered in the wilderness. Today I am eighty-five years old. I am as strong now as I was when Moses sent me on that journey, and I can still travel and fight as well as I could then.
