9 After he had said this, he was taken up as they were watching, and a cloud took him out of their sight.

10 While he was going, they were gazing into heaven, and suddenly two men in white clothes stood by them.  *11 They said, "Men of Galilee, why do you stand looking up into heaven? This same Jesus, who has been taken from you into heaven, will come in the same way that you have seen him going into heaven."  *

19 So the Lord Jesus, after speaking to them,  * was taken up into heaven  * and sat down at the right hand  * of God.

50 Then he led them out to the vicinity of Bethany,  * and lifting up his hands  * he blessed them. 51 And while he was blessing them, he left them and was carried up into heaven.  *

2 In my Father’s house are many rooms. If it were not so, would I have told you that I am going*to prepare a place for you?

12 "Truly I tell you, the one who believes in me*will also do the works that I do. And he will do even greater works than these,*because I am going to the Father.*

28 I came from the Father and have come into the world. Again, I am leaving the world and going to the Father."*

17 "Don’t cling to me," Jesus told her, "since I have not yet ascended*to the Father.*But go to my brothers*and tell them that I am ascending to my Father*and your Father, to my God*and your God."

33 Then Jesus said, "I am only with you for a short time.*Then I’m going to the one who sent me.*

16 And most certainly, the mystery of godliness  * is great:

He  * was manifested in the flesh,  *

vindicated in the Spirit,  *

seen by angels,

preached among the nations,

believed  * on in the world,

taken up in glory.  *
