9 After saying this, he was taken up into a cloud while they were watching, and they could no longer see him.

10 As they strained to see him rising into heaven, two white-robed men suddenly stood among them. 11 "Men of Galilee," they said, "why are you standing here staring into heaven? Jesus has been taken from you into heaven, but someday he will return from heaven in the same way you saw him go!"

19 When the Lord Jesus had finished talking with them, he was taken up into heaven and sat down in the place of honor at God’s right hand.

50 Then Jesus led them to Bethany, and lifting his hands to heaven, he blessed them. 51 While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up to heaven.

2 There is more than enough room in my Father’s home.*If this were not so, would I have told you that I am going to prepare a place for you?*

12 "I tell you the truth, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, and even greater works, because I am going to be with the Father.

28 Yes, I came from the Father into the world, and now I will leave the world and return to the Father."

17 "Don’t cling to me," Jesus said, "for I haven’t yet ascended to the Father. But go find my brothers and tell them, ‘I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.’"

33 But Jesus told them, "I will be with you only a little longer. Then I will return to the one who sent me.

16 Without question, this is the great mystery of our faith*:

Christ* was revealed in a human body

and vindicated by the Spirit.*

He was seen by angels

and announced to the nations.

He was believed in throughout the world

and taken to heaven in glory.
