Tende bom ânimo! Jesus repetiu estas palavras aos seus discípulos em meio às tempestades. No mundo tereis aflições, mas Ele já venceu o mundo — e nos dá coragem para enfrentar tudo.
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."
This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
"Don’t ever be afraid or discouraged," Joshua told his men. "Be strong and courageous, for the Lord is going to do this to all of your enemies."

I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
So be strong and courageous,
all you who put your hope in the Lord!

so why should I be afraid?

But Jesus spoke to them at once. "Don’t be afraid," he said. "Take courage. I am here!"
They were all terrified when they saw him.

So we are always confident, even though we know that as long as we live in these bodies we are not at home with the Lord.
Then at the end of the celebration, Solomon sent the people home. They were all joyful and glad because the Lord had been so good to David and to Solomon and to his people Israel.
"Be strong and courageous! Don’t be afraid or discouraged because of the king of Assyria or his mighty army, for there is a power far greater on our side!
If you fail under pressure,
your strength is too small.
So take courage! For I believe God. It will be just as he said.
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while.
The Lord rescues the godly;
he is their fortress in times of trouble.
For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord. When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours.
That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.
So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.
So we have been greatly encouraged in the midst of our troubles and suffering, dear brothers and sisters, because you have remained strong in your faith.
The people replied, "We would never abandon the Lord and serve other gods. For the Lord our God is the one who rescued us and our ancestors from slavery in the land of Egypt. He performed mighty miracles before our very eyes. As we traveled through the wilderness among our enemies, he preserved us.
For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
