31 Then God looked over all he had made, and he saw that it was very good!

And evening passed and morning came, marking the sixth day.

8 The Lord is good and does what is right;

he shows the proper path to those who go astray.

28 But as for me, how good it is to be near God!

I have made the Sovereign Lord my shelter,

and I will tell everyone about the wonderful things you do.

1 It is good to give thanks to the Lord,

to sing praises to the Most High.

2 It is good to proclaim your unfailing love in the morning,

your faithfulness in the evening,

3 accompanied by a ten-stringed instrument, a harp,

and the melody of a lyre.

5 For the Lord is good.

His unfailing love continues forever,

and his faithfulness continues to each generation.

1 How wonderful and pleasant it is

when brothers live together in harmony!

2 for I am giving you good guidance.

Don’t turn away from my instructions.

23 Everyone enjoys a fitting reply;

it is wonderful to say the right thing at the right time!

13 My child,* eat honey, for it is good,

and the honeycomb is sweet to the taste.

14 In the same way, wisdom is sweet to your soul.

If you find it, you will have a bright future,

and your hopes will not be cut short.

11 Wisdom is even better when you have money.

Both are a benefit as you go through life.

25 The Lord is good to those who depend on him,

to those who search for him.

26 So it is good to wait quietly

for salvation from the Lord.

8 No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good,

and this is what he requires of you:

to do what is right, to love mercy,

and to walk humbly with your God.

12 But still, the law itself is holy, and its commands are holy and right and good.

2 Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.

16 Then you will not be criticized for doing something you believe is good.

1 I urge you, first of all, to pray for all people. Ask God to help them; intercede on their behalf, and give thanks for them. 2 Pray this way for kings and all who are in authority so that we can live peaceful and quiet lives marked by godliness and dignity. 3 This is good and pleases God our Savior,

4 Since everything God created is good, we should not reject any of it but receive it with thanks. 5 For we know it is made acceptable* by the word of God and prayer.

17 Whatever is good and perfect is a gift coming down to us from God our Father, who created all the lights in the heavens.* He never changes or casts a shifting shadow.*

50 Salt is good for seasoning. But if it loses its flavor, how do you make it salty again? You must have the qualities of salt among yourselves and live in peace with each other."
