41 So those who accepted his message were baptized, and that day about three thousand people were added to them.

42 They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching,  * to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer.  *

43 Everyone was filled with awe, and many wonders and signs were being performed through the apostles.  *44 Now all the believers were together and held all things in common.  *45 They sold their possessions and property and distributed the proceeds to all, as any had need. 46 Every day they devoted themselves to meeting together in the temple, and broke bread from house to house. They ate their food with joyful and sincere hearts,  *47 praising God and enjoying the favor of all the people. Every day the Lord added to their number  * those who were being saved.  *

24 And let us consider one another in order to provoke love and good works, 25 not neglecting to gather together, as some are in the habit of doing, but encouraging each other,  * and all the more as you see the day approaching.

1 How delightfully good

when brothers live together in harmony!  *

2 It is like fine oil on the head,

running down on the beard,

running down Aaron’s beard

onto his robes.  *

3 It is like the dew of Hermon  *

falling on the mountains of Zion.  *

For there the  Lord has appointed the blessing —

life forevermore.  *

14 We used to have close fellowship;

we walked with the crowd into the house of God.  *

9 Two are better than one because they have a good reward for their efforts. 10 For if either falls, his companion can lift him up; but pity the one who falls without another to lift him up. 11 Also, if two lie down together, they can keep warm; but how can one person alone keep warm?  *12 And if someone overpowers one person, two can resist him. A cord of three strands is not easily broken.

22 Since you have purified yourselves by your obedience to the truth,  * so that you show sincere brotherly love for each other,  * from a pure  * heart love one another constantly,  *,*

9 Be hospitable  * to one another without complaining.

10 Love one another deeply as brothers and sisters.  * Take the lead in honoring one another.  *

1 If, then, there is any encouragement in Christ, if any consolation of love,  * if any fellowship with the Spirit,  * if any affection and mercy,  *2 make my joy complete by thinking the same way,  * having the same love,  * united in spirit, intent on one  * purpose.

16 Let the word of Christ dwell richly among you, in all wisdom teaching and admonishing one another through psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs,  * singing to God with gratitude in your hearts.

32 And be kind  * and compassionate  * to one another, forgiving  * one another, just as God also forgave you  * in Christ.

13 For you were called  * to be free, brothers and sisters; only don’t use this freedom as an opportunity  * for the flesh, but serve one another through love.

11 Therefore encourage one another and build each other up as you are already doing.

6 If we say, "We have fellowship  * with him," and yet we walk in darkness,  * we are lying and are not practicing the truth.  *7 If we walk in the light  * as he himself is in the light, we have fellowship with one another, and the blood of Jesus  * his Son cleanses us from all sin.

11 Finally, brothers and sisters, rejoice.  * Become mature, be encouraged,  * be of the same mind,  * be at peace,  * and the God of love  * and peace will be with you.

34 "I give you a new command: Love one another. Just as I have loved you, you are also to love one another.
