Coração quebrantado
Deus está perto dos que têm o coração quebrantado. A Bíblia consola os aflitos: o sacrifício que Deus aceita é o espírito quebrantado e um coração contrito — jamais desprezará.
The Lordis near to those who have a broken heart,
And saves such as have a contrite spirit.
The sacrifices of God are a broken spirit,
A broken and a contrite heart—
These, O God, You will not despise.
He heals the brokenhearted
And binds up their wounds.
My flesh and my heart fail;
But God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.
For thus says the High and Lofty One
Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy:
"I dwell in the high and holy place,
With him who has a contrite and humble spirit,
To revive the spirit of the humble,
And to revive the heart of the contrite ones.
For all those things My hand has made,
And all those things exist,"
Says the Lord.
"But on this one will I look:
On himwhois poor and of a contrite spirit,
And who trembles at My word.
The Good News of Salvation
"The Spirit of the Lord Godis upon Me,
Because the Lordhas anointed Me
To preach good tidings to the poor;
He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted,
To proclaim liberty to the captives,
And the opening of the prison to thosewhoare bound;
To proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord,
And the day of vengeance of our God;
To comfort all who mourn,
To console those who mourn in Zion,
To give them beauty for ashes,
The oil of joy for mourning,
The garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness;
That they may be called trees of righteousness,
The planting of the Lord, that He may be glorified."
"Blessedare the poor in spirit,
For theirs is the kingdom of heaven.
Blessed are those who mourn,
For they shall be comforted.
Blessed are the meek,
For they shall inherit the earth.
For godly sorrow produces repentance leading to salvation, not to be regretted; but the sorrow of the world produces death. For observe this very thing, that you sorrowed in a godly manner: What diligence it produced in you, whatclearing of yourselves, what indignation, what fear, what vehement desire, what zeal, what vindication! In all things you proved yourselves to be clear in this matter.
And He said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness." Therefore most gladly I will rather boast in my infirmities, that the power of Christ may rest upon me.
