Let no man say when he is tempted, "I am tempted by God," for God can’t be tempted by evil, and he himself tempts no one.(James 1:13)
You lust, and don’t have. You murder and covet, and can’t obtain. You fight and make war. You don’t have, because you don’t ask.(James 4:2)
What shall we say then? Is the law sin? May it never be! However, I wouldn’t have known sin except through the law. For I wouldn’t have known coveting unless the law had said, "You shall not covet."(Romans 7:7)
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you won’t fulfill the lust of the flesh.(Galatians 5:16)
For you, brothers, were called for freedom. Only don’t use your freedom as an opportunity for the flesh, but through love be servants to one another.(Galatians 5:13)
Put to death therefore your members which are on the earth: sexual immorality, uncleanness, depraved passion, evil desire, and covetousness, which is idolatry.(Colossians 3:5)
For all that is in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—isn’t the Father’s, but is the world’s.(1 John 2:16)
The world is passing away with its lusts, but he who does God’s will remains forever.(1 John 2:17)
"I made a covenant with my eyes;
how then should I look lustfully at a young woman?(Job 31:1)
Or can one walk on hot coals,
and his feet not be scorched?(Proverbs 6:28)
Watch and pray, that you don’t enter into temptation. The spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak."(Matthew 26:41)
Bring us not into temptation,
but deliver us from the evil one.
For yours is the Kingdom, the power, and the glory forever. Amen.’ (Matthew 6:13)
Be sober and self-controlled. Be watchful. Your adversary, the devil, walks around like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.(1 Peter 5:8)
"All things are lawful for me," but not all things are expedient. "All things are lawful for me," but I will not be brought under the power of anything.(1 Corinthians 6:12)
But, because of sexual immoralities, let each man have his own wife, and let each woman have her own husband.(1 Corinthians 7:2)
Let marriage be held in honor among all, and let the bed be undefiled; but God will judge the sexually immoral and adulterers.(Hebrews 13:4)
For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil. Some have been led astray from the faith in their greed, and have pierced themselves through with many sorrows.(1 Timothy 6:10)
Why do you set your eyes on that which is not?
For it certainly sprouts wings like an eagle and flies in the sky.(Proverbs 23:5)
There are those who covet greedily all day long;
but the righteous give and don’t withhold.(Proverbs 21:26)
No temptation has taken you except what is common to man. God is faithful, who will not allow you to be tempted above what you are able, but will with the temptation also make the way of escape, that you may be able to endure it.(1 Corinthians 10:13)
Brothers, even if a man is caught in some fault, you who are spiritual must restore such a one in a spirit of gentleness, looking to yourself so that you also aren’t tempted.(Galatians 6:1)
As the deer pants for the water brooks,
so my soul pants after you, God." (Elohim).(Psalms 42:1)
Yes, in the way of your judgments, Yahweh, we have waited for you.
Your name and your renown are the desire of our soul.(Isaiah 26:8)
by which he has granted to us his precious and exceedingly great promises; that through these you may become partakers of the divine nature, having escaped from the corruption that is in the world by lust.(2 Peter 1:4)
for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also. (Matthew 6:21)
