Deus é amor — esta é a declaração mais profunda da Bíblia sobre a natureza divina. Tudo que Deus faz nasce do amor. Quem permanece no amor permanece em Deus.
A natureza de Deus
Deus é amor. Quem permanece no amor, permanece em Deus e Deus nele. Ele nos amou primeiro com amor eterno.
7 My dear brothers, we must love one another, because love comes from God. Everyone who loves others is Gods child and he knows God.8 But anyone who does not love others does not know God, because God is love.
10 This is love! We did not love God, but he loved us. And he sent his Son to be the sacrifice to pay for the wrong things we have done.
15 If anyone says, Jesus is the Son of God, God is in him and he is in God.16 We know and we believe that God loves us. God is love. And anyone who loves others is in God and God is in him.
19 We love others because God first loved us.
16 God loved the world so very, very much that he gave his only Son. Because he did that, everyone who believes in him will not lose his life, but will live for ever.
O amor de Deus revelado
Deus prova o seu amor em que Cristo morreu por nós quando ainda éramos pecadores. Seu amor é compassivo e eterno.
8 God shows his love for us in this way: Christ died to save us while we were bad people.
4 But God was very, very kind. He loved us very, very much.5 We were dead because of the wrong things we had done. He has made us alive with Christ. You have been saved by his love and kindness.
11 Now, my brothers, in closing I say, Goodbye. Be what you should be. Listen to what I say. Be good to each other. Agree with one another. Live in peace with one another. And the God who gives love and peace will be with you.
