Knowing God Through Love

7 *Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who *loves is born of God and knows God. 8 He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.

10 In this is love, *not that we loved God, but that He loved us and sent His Son *tobe the propitiation for our sins.

15 *Whoever confesses that Jesus is the Son of God, God abides in him, and he in God. 16 And we have known and believed the love that God has for us. God is love, and *he who abides in love abides in God, and God *in him.

19 *We love Him because He first loved us.

16 *For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten *Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.

8 But *God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us.

4 But God, *who is rich in mercy, because of His *great love with which He loved us, 5 *even when we were dead in trespasses, *made us alive together with Christ (by grace you have been saved),

15 But *You, O Lord, are a God full of compassion, and gracious,

Longsuffering and abundant in mercy and truth.

7 How precious is Your lovingkindness, O God!

Therefore the children of men *put their trust under the shadow of Your wings.

3 *Because Your lovingkindness is better than life,

My lips shall praise You.

Thanksgiving to God for His Enduring Mercy

1 Oh, *give thanks to the Lord, for Heis good!

*For His mercy endures forever.

18 *Who is a God like You,

*Pardoning iniquity

And passing over the transgression of *the remnant of His heritage?

*He does not retain His anger forever,

Because He delights in*mercy.

Greetings and Benediction

11 Finally, brethren, farewell. Become complete. *Be of good comfort, be of one mind, live in peace; and the God of love *and peace will be with you.
