Deus é nosso refúgio e fortaleza. Quem habita no abrigo do Altíssimo descansa à sombra do Todo-Poderoso.
TO THE OVERSEER. BY SONS OF KORAH. FOR GIRLS’ [VOICES]. A SONG. God [is] our refuge and strength, || A most sure help in adversities.
He who is dwelling || In the secret place of the Most High, || Habitually lodges in the shade of the Mighty, He is saying of YHWH, "My refuge, and my bulwark, my God, I trust in Him," For He delivers you from the snare of a fowler, || From a calamitous pestilence. He covers you over with His pinion, || And under His wings you trust, || His truth [is] a shield and buckler.
TO THE OVERSEER. BY A SERVANT OF YHWH, BY DAVID, WHO HAS SPOKEN TO YHWH THE WORDS OF THIS SONG IN THE DAY YHWH DELIVERED HIM FROM THE HAND OF ALL HIS ENEMIES, AND FROM THE HAND OF SAUL, AND HE SAYS: I love You, O YHWH, my strength. YHWH [is] my rock, and my bulwark, || And my deliverer, || My God [is] my rock, || I trust in Him: My shield, and the horn of my salvation, || My high tower. I call on YHWH, the Praised One, || And I am saved from my enemies.
A MIKTAM OF DAVID. Preserve me, O God, for I trusted in You.
BY DAVID. YHWH [is] my light and my salvation, || Whom do I fear? YHWH [is] the strength of my life, || Of whom am I afraid? When evildoers come near to me to eat my flesh, || My adversaries and my enemies to me, || They have stumbled and fallen. Though a host encamps against me, || My heart does not fear, || Though war rises up against me, || In this I [am] confident.
TO THE OVERSEER. A PSALM OF DAVID. In You, O YHWH, I have trusted, || Do not let me be ashamed for all time, || In Your righteousness deliver me. Incline Your ear to me quickly, deliver me, || Be to me for a strong rock, || For a house of bulwarks to save me. For You [are] my rock and my bulwark, || For Your Name’s sake lead me and tend me. Bring me out from the net that they hid for me, || For You [are] my strength. Into Your hand I commit my spirit, || You have redeemed me, YHWH God of truth.
Be a rock to me—a habitation, || To go in continually, || You have given command to save me, || For You [are] my rock and my bulwark.
Proteção e segurança
O Senhor é a minha rocha e a minha fortaleza. Melhor é confiar no Senhor do que confiar no homem.
Better to take refuge in YHWH, || Than to trust in man, Better to take refuge in YHWH, || Than to trust in princes.
For God alone, be silent, O my soul, || For my hope [is] from Him. He alone [is] my rock and my salvation, || My tower, I am not moved. On God [is] my salvation, and my glory, || The rock of my strength, my refuge [is] in God. Trust in Him at all times, O people, || Pour forth your heart before Him, || God [is] a refuge for us. Selah.
O my Strength, I sing praise to You, || For God [is] my tower, the God of my kindness!
A PRAYER OF MOSES, THE MAN OF GOD. Lord, You have been a habitation, || To us—in generation and generation, Before mountains were brought forth, || And You form the earth and the world, || Even from age to age You [are] God.
And YHWH is a tower for the bruised, || A tower for times of adversity. They trust in You who know Your Name, || For You have not forsaken those seeking You, O YHWH.
How precious [is] Your kindness, O God, || And the sons of men trust || In the shadow of Your wings.
Em todo tempo
O Senhor é bom e é fortaleza no dia da angústia. A torre forte do nome do Senhor protege os seus em toda circunstância.
Good [is] YHWH for a strong place in a day of distress. And He knows those trusting in Him.
For You have been a stronghold for the poor, || A stronghold for the needy in his distress, || A refuge from storm, a shadow from heat, || When the spirit of the terrible [is] as a storm—a wall.
Strong confidence [is] in the fear of YHWH, || And there is a refuge to His sons.
The way of YHWH [is] strength to the perfect, || And ruin to workers of iniquity.
