Os avós são tesouros vivos de sabedoria e fé. A Bíblia honra os mais velhos e celebra a transmissão de fé entre gerações — dos avós aos netos e destes aos que virão.
A bênção dos avós
A coroa dos velhos são os filhos dos filhos. A misericórdia de Deus é de geração em geração sobre os que o temem.
6 Children's children are the crown of old men: and the glory of children are their fathers.
17 But the mercy of the Lord is from eternity and unto eternity upon them that fear him: And his justice unto children's children,
25 I have been young, and now am old; and I have not seen the just forsaken, nor his seed seeking bread.
4 Man is like to vanity: his days pass away like a shadow.
5 for the Lord is sweet, his mercy endureth for ever, and his truth to generation and generation.
Força e fidelidade
Mesmo na velhice darão frutos. Os cabelos brancos são coroa de glória. Deus não abandona seus filhos na idade avançada.
14 They that are planted in the house of the Lord shall flourish in the courts of the house of our God.15 They shall still increase in a fruitful old age: and shall be well treated,
31 Old age is a crown of dignity, when it is found in the ways of justice.
4 Even to your old age I am the same, and to your grey hairs I will carry you: I have made you, and I will bear: I will carry and will save.
30 Youths shall faint, and labour, and young men shall fall by infirmity.31 But they that hope in the Lord shall renew their strength, they shall take wings as eagles, they shall run and not be weary, they shall walk and not faint.
9 Keep thyself therefore, and thy soul carefully. Forget not the words that thy eyes have seen, and let them not go out of thy heart all the days of thy life. Thou shalt teach them to thy sons and to thy grandsons,
