34 And having called near the multitude, with his disciples, he said to them, 'Whoever does will to come after me -- let him disown himself, and take up his cross, and follow me;

31 and the secondis like it, this, You shall love your neighbor as yourself; -- greater than these there is no other command.'

20 with Christ I have been crucified, and live no more do I, and Christ does live in me; and that which I now live in the flesh -- in the faith I live of the Son of God, who did love me and did give himself for me;

3 nothing in rivalry or vain-glory, but in humility of mind one another counting more excellent than yourselves --

24 but I make account of none of these, neither do I count my life precious to myself, so that I finish my course with joy, and the ministration that I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify fully the good news of the grace of God.

24 let no one seek his own -- but each another's.

4 The love is long-suffering, it is kind, the love does not envy, the love does not vaunt itself, is not puffed up,5 does not act unseemly, does not seek its own things, is not provoked, does not impute evil,

16 for where zeal and rivalry are, there is insurrection and every evil matter;
