Encorajamento

Do not be afraidI am with you!

I am your Godlet nothing terrify you!

I will make you strong and help you;

I will protect you and save you.

When you pass through deep waters, I will be with you;

your troubles will not overwhelm you.

When you pass through fire, you will not be burned;

the hard trials that come will not hurt you.

I will give up whole nations to save your life,

because you are precious to me

and because I love you and give you honor.

Do not be afraidI am with you!

"From the distant east and the farthest west

I will bring your people home.

Do not be afraidyou will not be disgraced again;

you will not be humiliated.

You will forget your unfaithfulness as a young wife,

and your desperate loneliness as a widow.

God’s Punishment of the Rebellious

The Lord said, "I was ready to answer my people’s prayers, but they did not pray. I was ready for them to find me, but they did not even try. The nation did not pray to me, even though I was always ready to answer, Here I am; I will help you.

But those who trust in the Lord for help

will find their strength renewed.

They will rise on wings like eagles;

they will run and not get weary;

they will walk and not grow weak.

Then I heard the Lord say, "Whom shall I send? Who will be our messenger?"

I answered, "I will go! Send me!"

Remember that I have commanded you to be determined and confident! Do not be afraid or discouraged, for I, the Lord your God, am with you wherever you go."

Remember that I have commanded you to be determined and confident! Do not be afraid or discouraged, for I, the Lord your God, am with you wherever you go."

The people replied, "We would never leave the Lord to serve other gods! The Lord our God brought our fathers and us out of slavery in Egypt, and we saw the miracles that he performed. He kept us safe wherever we went among all the nations through which we passed.

Be determined and confident. Do not be afraid of them. Your God, the Lord himself, will be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you."

The Lord himself will lead you and be with you. He will not fail you or abandon you, so do not lose courage or be afraid."

Deus está conosco

Se Deus é por nós, quem será contra nós? Tudo posso naquele que me fortalece. Ele nos encoraja pela sua presença.

God’s Love in Christ Jesus

In view of all this, what can we say? If God is for us, who can be against us?

For the Spirit that God has given you does not make you slaves and cause you to be afraid; instead, the Spirit makes you God’s children, and by the Spirit’s power we cry out to God, "Father! my Father!"

Instead, we should all please other believers for their own good, in order to build them up in the faith.

And may God, the source of patience and encouragement, enable you to have the same point of view among yourselves by following the example of Christ Jesus,

For I want very much to see you, in order to share a spiritual blessing with you to make you strong. What I mean is that both you and I will be helped at the same time, you by my faith and I by yours.

I have the strength to face all conditions by the power that Christ gives me.

And so I am sure that God, who began this good work in you, will carry it on until it is finished on the Day of Christ Jesus.

Anyone who is joined to Christ is a new being; the old is gone, the new has come.

Living by Faith

For this reason we never become discouraged. Even though our physical being is gradually decaying, yet our spiritual being is renewed day after day.

And this small and temporary trouble we suffer will bring us a tremendous and eternal glory, much greater than the trouble.

Yet we who have this spiritual treasure are like common clay pots, in order to show that the supreme power belongs to God, not to us. We are often troubled, but not crushed; sometimes in doubt, but never in despair; there are many enemies, but we are never without a friend; and though badly hurt at times, we are not destroyed. At all times we carry in our mortal bodies the death of Jesus, so that his life also may be seen in our bodies. Throughout our lives we are always in danger of death for Jesus' sake, in order that his life may be seen in this mortal body of ours.

Friendship with God through Christ

We know what it means to fear the Lord, and so we try to persuade others. God knows us completely, and I hope that in your hearts you know me as well. We are not trying again to recommend ourselves to you; rather, we are trying to give you a good reason to be proud of us, so that you will be able to answer those who boast about people’s appearance and not about their character. Are we really insane? It is for God’s sake. Or are we sane? Then it is for your sake. We are ruled by the love of Christ, now that we recognize that one man died for everyone, which means that they all share in his death. He died for all, so that those who live should no longer live for themselves, but only for him who died and was raised to life for their sake.

No longer, then, do we judge anyone by human standards. Even if at one time we judged Christ according to human standards, we no longer do so. Anyone who is joined to Christ is a new being; the old is gone, the new has come. All this is done by God, who through Christ changed us from enemies into his friends and gave us the task of making others his friends also. Our message is that God was making all human beings his friends through Christ. God did not keep an account of their sins, and he has given us the message which tells how he makes them his friends.

Here we are, then, speaking for Christ, as though God himself were making his appeal through us. We plead on Christ’s behalf: let God change you from enemies into his friends! Christ was without sin, but for our sake God made him share our sin in order that in union with him we might share the righteousness of God.

If you are eager to give, God will accept your gift on the basis of what you have to give, not on what you don’t have.

Paul Gives Thanks to God

Let us give thanks to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the merciful Father, the God from whom all help comes! He helps us in all our troubles, so that we are able to help others who have all kinds of troubles, using the same help that we ourselves have received from God.

Ânimo nas lutas

No mundo tereis aflições, mas tende bom ânimo — Eu venci o mundo. O Senhor é refúgio seguro em toda tribulação.

I have told you this so that you will have peace by being united to me. The world will make you suffer. But be brave! I have defeated the world!"

I have told you this so that you will have peace by being united to me. The world will make you suffer. But be brave! I have defeated the world!"

"Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid.

"Peace is what I leave with you; it is my own peace that I give you. I do not give it as the world does. Do not be worried and upset; do not be afraid.

There is no fear in love; perfect love drives out all fear. So then, love has not been made perfect in anyone who is afraid, because fear has to do with punishment.

Promessas de conforto

Vinde a mim os cansados e sobrecarregados. Lança sobre Ele tuas ansiedades, pois Ele cuida de ti.

"Come to me, all of you who are tired from carrying heavy loads, and I will give you rest.

Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul; rather be afraid of God, who can destroy both body and soul in hell.

Leave your troubles with the Lord,

and he will defend you;

he never lets honest people be defeated.

Even if I go through the deepest darkness,

I will not be afraid, Lord,

for you are with me.

Your shepherd’s rod and staff protect me.

Even if I go through the deepest darkness,

I will not be afraid, Lord,

for you are with me.

Your shepherd’s rod and staff protect me.

A Prayer of Praise#HEBREW TITLE: By David.

The Lord is my light and my salvation;

I will fear no one.

The Lord protects me from all danger;

I will never be afraid.

Trust in the Lord.

Have faith, do not despair.

Trust in the Lord.

Be strong, be courageous,

all you that hope in the Lord.

The Lord says, "I will teach you the way you should go;

I will instruct you and advise you.

God Is with Us#HEBREW TITLE: A song by the clan of Korah.

God is our shelter and strength,

always ready to help in times of trouble.

So we will not be afraid, even if the earth is shaken

and mountains fall into the ocean depths;

even if the seas roar and rage,

and the hills are shaken by the violence.

When I am afraid, O Lord Almighty,

I put my trust in you.

I trust in God and am not afraid;

I praise him for what he has promised.

What can a mere human being do to me?

Lord our God, may your blessings be with us.

Give us success in all we do!

The Lord Our Protector

I look to the mountains;

where will my help come from?

My help will come from the Lord,

who made heaven and earth.

I am always aware of the Lord's presence;

he is near, and nothing can shake me.

The Lord is a refuge for the oppressed,

a place of safety in times of trouble.

Those who know you, Lord, will trust you;

you do not abandon anyone who comes to you.

Leave all your worries with him, because he cares for you.

Be glad about this, even though it may now be necessary for you to be sad for a while because of the many kinds of trials you suffer.

Who will harm you if you are eager to do what is good? But even if you should suffer for doing what is right, how happy you are! Do not be afraid of anyone, and do not worry.

Encorajar uns aos outros

Encorajai-vos mutuamente e edificai-vos uns aos outros. Não desanimemos — a bondade do Senhor é nova a cada manhã.

And so encourage one another and help one another, just as you are now doing.

And so encourage one another and help one another, just as you are now doing.

Let us be concerned for one another, to help one another to show love and to do good. Let us not give up the habit of meeting together, as some are doing. Instead, let us encourage one another all the more, since you see that the Day of the Lord is coming nearer.

Keep your lives free from the love of money, and be satisfied with what you have. For God has said, "I will never leave you; I will never abandon you." Let us be bold, then, and say,

"The Lord is my helper,

I will not be afraid.

What can anyone do to me?"

So then, my dear friends, stand firm and steady. Keep busy always in your work for the Lord, since you know that nothing you do in the Lord’s service is ever useless.

Final Words

Be alert, stand firm in the faith, be brave, be strong.

Final Words

Be alert, stand firm in the faith, be brave, be strong.

For the Spirit that God has given us does not make us timid; instead, his Spirit fills us with power, love, and self-control.

King David said to his son Solomon, "Be confident and determined. Start the work and don’t let anything stop you. The Lord God, whom I serve, will be with you. He will not abandon you, but he will stay with you until you finish the work to be done on his Temple.

The Lord your God is with you;

his power gives you victory.

The Lord will take delight in you,

and in his love he will give you new life.

He will sing and be joyful over you,

I alone know the plans I have for you, plans to bring you prosperity and not disaster, plans to bring about the future you hope for.

Work and you will earn a living; if you sit around talking you will be poor.

Jesus said to them, "Come with me, and I will teach you to catch people." At once they left their nets and went with him.

Deus chama pelo nome

Ao longo da Bíblia, Deus chamou seus servos pelo nome — Abraão, Moisés, Samuel, Paulo — encorajando cada um pessoalmente.

God spoke to him in a vision at night and called, "Jacob, Jacob!"

"Yes, here I am," he answered.

The angel of God spoke to me in the dream and said, Jacob!Yes,I answered.

But the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven, "Abraham, Abraham!"

He answered, "Yes, here I am."

When the Lord saw that Moses was coming closer, he called to him from the middle of the bush and said, "Moses! Moses!"

He answered, "Yes, here I am."

Eli called him, "Samuel, my boy!"

"Yes, sir," answered Samuel.

There was a believer in Damascus named Ananias. He had a vision, in which the Lord said to him, "Ananias!"

"Here I am, Lord," he answered.

"I am the Lord’s servant," said Mary; "may it happen to me as you have said." And the angel left her.

"Aren’t five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one sparrow is forgotten by God. Even the hairs of your head have all been counted. So do not be afraid; you are worth much more than many sparrows!
