Encorajamento
Don’t be afraid, for I am with you.
Don’t be discouraged, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you and help you.
I will hold you up with my victorious right hand.
When you go through deep waters,
I will be with you.
When you go through rivers of difficulty,
you will not drown.
When you walk through the fire of oppression,
you will not be burned up;
the flames will not consume you.
Others were given in exchange for you.
I traded their lives for yours
because you are precious to me.
You are honored, and I love you.
"Do not be afraid, for I am with you.
I will gather you and your children from east and west.
"Fear not; you will no longer live in shame.
Don’t be afraid; there is no more disgrace for you.
You will no longer remember the shame of your youth
and the sorrows of widowhood.
The Lord says,
"I was ready to respond, but no one asked for help.
I was ready to be found, but no one was looking for me.
I said, ‘Here I am, here I am!’
to a nation that did not call on my name.
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.
Then I heard the Lord asking, "Whom should I send as a messenger to this people? Who will go for us?"
I said, "Here I am. Send me."
This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
This is my command—be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid or discouraged. For the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
The people replied, "We would never abandon the Lord and serve other gods. For the Lord our God is the one who rescued us and our ancestors from slavery in the land of Egypt. He performed mighty miracles before our very eyes. As we traveled through the wilderness among our enemies, he preserved us.
So be strong and courageous! Do not be afraid and do not panic before them. For the Lord your God will personally go ahead of you. He will neither fail you nor abandon you."
Do not be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord will personally go ahead of you. He will be with you; he will neither fail you nor abandon you."
Deus está conosco
Se Deus é por nós, quem será contra nós? Tudo posso naquele que me fortalece. Ele nos encoraja pela sua presença.
What shall we say about such wonderful things as these? If God is for us, who can ever be against us?
So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves. Instead, you received God’s Spirit when he adopted you as his own children. Now we call him, "Abba, Father."
We should help others do what is right and build them up in the Lord.
May God, who gives this patience and encouragement, help you live in complete harmony with each other, as is fitting for followers of Christ Jesus.
For I long to visit you so I can bring you some spiritual gift that will help you grow strong in the Lord. When we get together, I want to encourage you in your faith, but I also want to be encouraged by yours.
For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
That is why we never give up. Though our bodies are dying, our spirits are being renewed every day.
For our present troubles are small and won’t last very long. Yet they produce for us a glory that vastly outweighs them and will last forever!
We now have this light shining in our hearts, but we ourselves are like fragile clay jars containing this great treasure. This makes it clear that our great power is from God, not from ourselves.
We are pressed on every side by troubles, but we are not crushed. We are perplexed, but not driven to despair. We are hunted down, but never abandoned by God. We get knocked down, but we are not destroyed. Through suffering, our bodies continue to share in the death of Jesus so that the life of Jesus may also be seen in our bodies.
Yes, we live under constant danger of death because we serve Jesus, so that the life of Jesus will be evident in our dying bodies.
Because we understand our fearful responsibility to the Lord, we work hard to persuade others. God knows we are sincere, and I hope you know this, too. Are we commending ourselves to you again? No, we are giving you a reason to be proud of us, so you can answer those who brag about having a spectacular ministry rather than having a sincere heart. If it seems we are crazy, it is to bring glory to God. And if we are in our right minds, it is for your benefit. Either way, Christ’s love controls us. Since we believe that Christ died for all, we also believe that we have all died to our old life.He died for everyone so that those who receive his new life will no longer live for themselves. Instead, they will live for Christ, who died and was raised for them.
So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun!
And all of this is a gift from God, who brought us back to himself through Christ. And God has given us this task of reconciling people to him. For God was in Christ, reconciling the world to himself, no longer counting people’s sins against them. And he gave us this wonderful message of reconciliation. So we are Christ’s ambassadors; God is making his appeal through us. We speak for Christ when we plead, "Come back to God!" For God made Christ, who never sinned, to be the offering for our sin, so that we could be made right with God through Christ.
Whatever you give is acceptable if you give it eagerly. And give according to what you have, not what you don’t have.
All praise to God, the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ. God is our merciful Father and the source of all comfort. He comforts us in all our troubles so that we can comfort others. When they are troubled, we will be able to give them the same comfort God has given us.
Ânimo nas lutas
No mundo tereis aflições, mas tende bom ânimo — Eu venci o mundo. O Senhor é refúgio seguro em toda tribulação.
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."
I have told you all this so that you may have peace in me. Here on earth you will have many trials and sorrows. But take heart, because I have overcome the world."
"I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.
"I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.
Such love has no fear, because perfect love expels all fear. If we are afraid, it is for fear of punishment, and this shows that we have not fully experienced his perfect love.
Promessas de conforto
Vinde a mim os cansados e sobrecarregados. Lança sobre Ele tuas ansiedades, pois Ele cuida de ti.
Then Jesus said, "Come to me, all of you who are weary and carry heavy burdens, and I will give you rest.
"Don’t be afraid of those who want to kill your body; they cannot touch your soul. Fear only God, who can destroy both soul and body in hell.
Give your burdens to the Lord,
and he will take care of you.
He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.
Even when I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff
protect and comfort me.
Even when I walk
through the darkest valley,
I will not be afraid,
for you are close beside me.
Your rod and your staff
protect and comfort me.
The Lord is my light and my salvation—
so why should I be afraid?
The Lord is my fortress, protecting me from danger,
so why should I tremble?
Wait patiently for the Lord.
Be brave and courageous.
Yes, wait patiently for the Lord.
So be strong and courageous,
all you who put your hope in the Lord!
The Lord says, "I will guide you along the best pathway for your life.
I will advise you and watch over you.
God is our refuge and strength,
always ready to help in times of trouble.
So we will not fear when earthquakes come
and the mountains crumble into the sea.
Let the oceans roar and foam.
Let the mountains tremble as the waters surge! Interlude
But when I am afraid,
I will put my trust in you.
I praise God for what he has promised.
I trust in God, so why should I be afraid?
What can mere mortals do to me?
And may the Lord our God show us his approval
and make our efforts successful.
Yes, make our efforts successful!
I look up to the mountains—
does my help come from there?
My help comes from the Lord,
who made heaven and earth!
I know the Lord is always with me.
I will not be shaken, for he is right beside me.
The Lord is a shelter for the oppressed,
a refuge in times of trouble.
Those who know your name trust in you,
for you, O Lord, do not abandon those who search for you.
Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.
So be truly glad. There is wonderful joy ahead, even though you must endure many trials for a little while.
Now, who will want to harm you if you are eager to do good? But even if you suffer for doing what is right, God will reward you for it. So don’t worry or be afraid of their threats.
Encorajar uns aos outros
Encorajai-vos mutuamente e edificai-vos uns aos outros. Não desanimemos — a bondade do Senhor é nova a cada manhã.
So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.
So encourage each other and build each other up, just as you are already doing.
Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works. And let us not neglect our meeting together, as some people do, but encourage one another, especially now that the day of his return is drawing near.
Don’t love money; be satisfied with what you have. For God has said,
"I will never fail you.
I will never abandon you."
So we can say with confidence,
"The Lord is my helper,
so I will have no fear.
What can mere people do to me?"
So, my dear brothers and sisters, be strong and immovable. Always work enthusiastically for the Lord, for you know that nothing you do for the Lord is ever useless.
Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.
Be on guard. Stand firm in the faith. Be courageous. Be strong.
For God has not given us a spirit of fear and timidity, but of power, love, and self-discipline.
Then David continued, "Be strong and courageous, and do the work. Don’t be afraid or discouraged, for the Lord God, my God, is with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. He will see to it that all the work related to the Temple of the Lord is finished correctly.
For the Lord your God is living among you.
He is a mighty savior.
He will take delight in you with gladness.
With his love, he will calm all your fears.
He will rejoice over you with joyful songs."
For I know the plans I have for you," says the Lord. "They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.
Work brings profit,
but mere talk leads to poverty!
Jesus called out to them, "Come, follow me, and I will show you how to fish for people!"And they left their nets at once and followed him.
Deus chama pelo nome
Ao longo da Bíblia, Deus chamou seus servos pelo nome — Abraão, Moisés, Samuel, Paulo — encorajando cada um pessoalmente.
During the night God spoke to him in a vision. "Jacob! Jacob!" he called.
"Here I am," Jacob replied.
Then in my dream, the angel of God said to me, ‘Jacob!’ And I replied, ‘Yes, here I am.’
At that moment the angel of the Lord called to him from heaven, "Abraham! Abraham!"
"Yes," Abraham replied. "Here I am!"
When the Lord saw Moses coming to take a closer look, God called to him from the middle of the bush, "Moses! Moses!"
"Here I am!" Moses replied.
But Eli called out to him, "Samuel, my son."
"Here I am," Samuel replied.
Now there was a believer in Damascus named Ananias. The Lord spoke to him in a vision, calling, "Ananias!"
"Yes, Lord!" he replied.
Mary responded, "I am the Lord’s servant. May everything you have said about me come true." And then the angel left her.
"What is the price of five sparrows—two copper coins? Yet God does not forget a single one of them. And the very hairs on your head are all numbered. So don’t be afraid; you are more valuable to God than a whole flock of sparrows.
