19 *Go therefore and *make disciples of *all nations, *baptizing them *in**the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit,20 teaching them *to observe all that *I have commanded you. And behold, *I am with you always, to *the end of the age."

15 And he said to them, *"Go into all the world and *proclaim the gospel to *the whole creation.

8 But you will receive *power *when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and *you will be *my witnesses in Jerusalem and in all Judea and *Samaria, and *to the end of the earth."

14 *"You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden.

Salt and Light

13 "You are the salt of the earth, *but if salt has lost its taste, how shall its saltiness be restored? It is no longer good for anything except to be thrown out and trampled under people’s feet.

15 *Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house.16 In the same way, let your light shine before others, so *that*they may see your good works and *give glory to your Father who is in heaven.

17 *From that time Jesus began to preach, saying, *"Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand."*

The Righteous Shall Live by Faith

16 For *I am not ashamed of the gospel, for it is *the power of God for salvation to everyone who believes, to the Jew *first and also to *the Greek.

17 So *faith comes from hearing, and hearing through the word of Christ.

2 For I decided to know nothing among you except *Jesus Christ and him crucified.

The Resurrection of Christ

1 Now I would remind you, brothers,* of the gospel *I preached to you, which you received, *in which you stand, 2 and by which *you are being saved, if you *hold fast to the word I preached to you—*unless you believed in vain.

14 To this he called you through *our gospel, *so that you may obtain the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.

15 but *in your hearts honor Christ the Lord as holy, *always being prepared to make a defense to anyone who asks you for a reason for the hope that is in you; yet do it with gentleness and *respect,

35 *By this all people will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another."

8 *By this my Father is glorified, that you *bear much fruit and so prove to be my disciples.

47 *For so the Lord has commanded us, saying,

*"‘I have made you *a light for the Gentiles,

that you may *bring salvation to the ends of the earth.’"

24 But *I do not account my life of any value nor as precious to myself, if only *I may finish my course and *the ministry *that I received from the Lord Jesus, *to testify to *the gospel of *the grace of God.

18 *"The Spirit of the Lord *is upon me,

because he has anointed me

to*proclaim good news to the poor.

*He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives

and*recovering of sight to the blind,

*to set at liberty those who are oppressed,

29 Jesus said, "Truly, I say to you, *there is no one who has left house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or lands, for my sake and *for the gospel,30 who will not receive a hundredfold *now in this time, houses and brothers and sisters and mothers and children and lands, *with persecutions, and in *the age to come eternal life.

35 For *whoever would save his life*will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake *and the gospel’s will save it.

Tell of All His Wondrous Works

1 *Oh give thanks to the Lord; *call upon his name;

*make known his deeds among the peoples!

4 *And you will say in that day:

*"Give thanks to the Lord,

call upon his name,

*make known his deeds among the peoples,

proclaim *that his name is exalted.

27 *To them God chose to make known how great among the Gentiles are *the riches of the glory of *this mystery, which is Christ in you, *the hope of glory.

Teach Sound Doctrine

1 But as for you, teach what accords with *sound* doctrine.

23 So I will show my greatness and my *holiness and *make myself known in the eyes of many nations. Then *they will know that I am the Lord.
