A evangelização é a missão suprema da Igreja. Jesus mandou: ide por todo o mundo e pregai o evangelho a toda criatura. O evangelho é poder de Deus para a salvação de todo aquele que crê.
A Grande Comissão
Ide, fazei discípulos de todas as nações. Jesus confiou a seus seguidores a missão de levar a boa notícia ao mundo inteiro.
Therefore, go and make disciples of all the nations,baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit.Teach these new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you. And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age."
And then he told them, "Go into all the world and preach the Good News to everyone.
But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes upon you. And you will be my witnesses, telling people about me everywhere—in Jerusalem, throughout Judea, in Samaria, and to the ends of the earth."
"You are the light of the world—like a city on a hilltop that cannot be hidden.
Teaching about Salt and Light
"You are the salt of the earth. But what good is salt if it has lost its flavor? Can you make it salty again? It will be thrown out and trampled underfoot as worthless.
No one lights a lamp and then puts it under a basket. Instead, a lamp is placed on a stand, where it gives light to everyone in the house.In the same way, let your good deeds shine out for all to see, so that everyone will praise your heavenly Father.
From then on Jesus began to preach, "Repent of your sins and turn to God, for the Kingdom of Heaven is near."
O poder do evangelho
O evangelho é poder de Deus para a salvação. A fé vem pelo ouvir, e o ouvir pela Palavra de Cristo.
For I am not ashamed of this Good News about Christ. It is the power of God at work, saving everyone who believes—the Jew first and also the Gentile.
So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.
For I decided that while I was with you I would forget everything except Jesus Christ, the one who was crucified.
The Resurrection of Christ
Let me now remind you, dear brothers and sisters, of the Good News I preached to you before. You welcomed it then, and you still stand firm in it. It is this Good News that saves you if you continue to believe the message I told you—unless, of course, you believed something that was never true in the first place.
He called you to salvation when we told you the Good News; now you can share in the glory of our Lord Jesus Christ.
Testemunhar e proclamar
Estai sempre preparados para responder com mansidão a todo aquele que pedir razão da vossa esperança.
Instead, you must worship Christ as Lord of your life. And if someone asks about your hope as a believer, always be ready to explain it.
Your love for one another will prove to the world that you are my disciples."
When you produce much fruit, you are my true disciples. This brings great glory to my Father.
For the Lord gave us this command when he said,
‘I have made you a light to the Gentiles,
to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth.’"
But my life is worth nothing to me unless I use it for finishing the work assigned me by the Lord Jesus—the work of telling others the Good News about the wonderful grace of God.
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon me,
for he has anointed me to bring Good News to the poor.
He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released,
that the blind will see,
that the oppressed will be set free,
"Yes," Jesus replied, "and I assure you that everyone who has given up house or brothers or sisters or mother or father or children or property, for my sake and for the Good News,will receive now in return a hundred times as many houses, brothers, sisters, mothers, children, and property—along with persecution. And in the world to come that person will have eternal life.
If you try to hang on to your life, you will lose it. But if you give up your life for my sake and for the sake of the Good News, you will save it.
Fazer conhecer
Dai graças ao Senhor, invocai o seu nome, fazei conhecidas as suas obras entre os povos.
Give thanks to the Lord and proclaim his greatness.
Let the whole world know what he has done.
In that wonderful day you will sing:
"Thank the Lord! Praise his name!
Tell the nations what he has done.
Let them know how mighty he is!
For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.
Promote Right Teaching
As for you, Titus, promote the kind of living that reflects wholesome teaching.
In this way, I will show my greatness and holiness, and I will make myself known to all the nations of the world. Then they will know that I am the Lord.
