3 The Son is the radiance  * of God’s glory and the exact expression  * of his nature,  * sustaining all things by his powerful word.  * After making purification for sins,  * he sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on high.  *,*4 So he became superior to the angels, just as the name he inherited is more excellent than theirs.  *

14 The Word  * became flesh  * and dwelt  * among us. We observed his glory,  * the glory as the one and only  * Son  * from the Father, full of grace and truth.

18 No one has ever seen God. The one and only  * Son, who is himself God and is at the Father’s  * side  *  — he has revealed him.  *

17 Jesus responded to them, "My Father*is still working, and I am working also."18 This is why the Jews began trying all the more to kill him:  * Not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal to God.

13 When Jesus came to the region of Caesarea Philippi,  *,* he asked his disciples, "Who do people say that the Son of Man is? "*

14 They replied, "Some say John the Baptist; others, Elijah; still others, Jeremiah or one of the prophets."  *

15 "But you," he asked them, "who do you say that I am? "

16 Simon Peter answered, "You are the Messiah, the Son of the living God."  *

16 When Jesus was baptized, he went up immediately from the water. The heavens  * suddenly opened for him,  * and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and coming down on him.  *17 And a voice from heaven said, "This is my beloved Son, with whom I am well-pleased."  *

15 Whoever confesses  * that Jesus is the Son of God — God remains in him and he in God.

9 God’s love was revealed among us  * in this way: God sent  * his one and only Son  * into the world so that we might live  * through him. 10 Love consists in this: not that we loved God, but that he loved us  * and sent his Son to be the atoning sacrifice  *,* for our sins.

8 The one who commits  * sin is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. The Son of God  * was revealed  * for this purpose: to destroy the devil’s works.

12 The one who has the Son has life.  * The one who does not have the Son of God does not have life.

16 For God loved*the world in this way:*He gave*his one and only*Son,*so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life.*

21 And just as the Father raises*the dead and gives them life, so the Son also gives life to whom he wants.*22 The Father,*in fact, judges no one but has given all judgment to the Son,23 so that all people may honor the Son just as they honor the Father.*Anyone who does not honor the Son does not honor the Father who sent him.*

25 "Truly I tell you, an hour is coming, and is now here,*when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God, and those who hear will live.*26 For just as the Father has life in himself, so also he has granted to the Son*to have life in himself.

12 But to all who did receive  * him,  * he gave them the right  * to be  * children  * of God,  * to those who believe  * in his name,  *13 who were born,  * not of natural descent,  * or of the will  * of the flesh,  * or of the will of man,  * but of God.  *

20 I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me.  * The life I now live in the body,  * I live by faith in the Son of God,  * who loved  * me  * and gave himself  * for me.  *

4 When the time came to completion, God sent his Son,  * born of a woman,  * born under the law, 5 to redeem those under the law, so that we might receive adoption as sons.  *6 And because you are sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son  * into our  * hearts, crying, "Abba,  * Father! "  *

10 For if, while we were enemies,  * we were reconciled to God through the death of his Son, then how much more, having been reconciled, will we be saved by his life.  *

6 For a child will be born for us,

a son will be given to us,  *

and the government will be on his shoulders.  *

He will be named

Wonderful Counselor,  * Mighty God,  *

Eternal Father,  * Prince of Peace.  *
