Ser imitador de Cristo é o chamado supremo do cristão. Paulo exortou: 'Sede meus imitadores, como eu sou de Cristo.' Fomos criados à imagem de Deus para refletir seu caráter.
Imitar a Cristo
Sede imitadores de Deus como filhos amados. Cristo se esvaziou e se humilhou — esse é o padrão que devemos seguir.
1 Be ye therefore imitators of God, as beloved children,
5 For let this mind be in you which {was} also in Christ Jesus;6 who, subsisting in the form of God, did not esteem it an object of rapine to be on an equality with God;7 but emptied himself, taking a bondman's form, taking his place in {the} likeness of men;8 and having been found in figure as a man, humbled himself, becoming obedient even unto death, and {that the} death of {the} cross.
1 Be my imitators, even as *I* also {am} of Christ.
6 and *ye* became our imitators, and of the Lord, having accepted the word in much tribulation with joy of {the} Holy Spirit,

Deus nos criou à sua imagem e semelhança. Adorar em espírito e verdade é viver refletindo o caráter do Criador.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness; and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over the whole earth, and over every creeping thing that creepeth on the earth.
