Ser imitador de Cristo é o chamado supremo do cristão. Paulo exortou: 'Sede meus imitadores, como eu sou de Cristo.' Fomos criados à imagem de Deus para refletir seu caráter.
Imitar a Cristo
Sede imitadores de Deus como filhos amados. Cristo se esvaziou e se humilhou — esse é o padrão que devemos seguir.
1 Become, then, followers of God, as children beloved,
5 For, let this mind be in you that is also in Christ Jesus,6 who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal to God,7 but did empty himself, the form of a servant having taken, in the likeness of men having been made,8 and in fashion having been found as a man, he humbled himself, having become obedient unto death -- death even of a cross,
1 Followers of me become you, as I also am of Christ.
6 and you -- you did become imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much tribulation, with joy of the Holy Spirit,
