Ser imitador de Cristo é o chamado supremo do cristão. Paulo exortou: 'Sede meus imitadores, como eu sou de Cristo.' Fomos criados à imagem de Deus para refletir seu caráter.
Imitar a Cristo
Sede imitadores de Deus como filhos amados. Cristo se esvaziou e se humilhou — esse é o padrão que devemos seguir.
1 Be{} therefore imitators of God, as beloved children;
5 Have this mind in you{}, which was also in Christ Jesus:6 who, existing in the form of God, did not consider making full use of his equality with God,7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a slave, being made in the likeness of men;8 and being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, becoming obedient [even] to death, yes, the death of the cross.
1 Be{} imitators of me, even as I also am of Christ.
6 And you{} became imitators of us, and of the Lord, having received the word in much affliction, with joy of the Holy Spirit;
Criados à imagem de Deus
Deus nos criou à sua imagem e semelhança. Adorar em espírito e verdade é viver refletindo o caráter do Criador.
26 And God said, Let us make man in our image, after our likeness: and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the birds of the heavens, and over the cattle, and over all the earth, and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.
24 God is spirit: and those who worship him must worship in spirit and truth.
