55 "Isn't this the carpenter's son? Isn't his mother's name Mary, and aren't his brothers James, Joseph, Simon and Judas?56 Aren't all his sisters with us? Where then did this man get all these things?"

46 While Jesus was still talking to the crowd, his mother and brothers stood outside, wanting to speak to him.

31 Then Jesus' mother and brothers arrived. Standing outside, they sent someone in to call him.32 A crowd was sitting around him, and they told him, "Your mother and brothers are outside looking for you."33 "Who are my mother and my brothers?" he asked.34 Then he looked at those seated in a circle around him and said, "Here are my mother and my brothers!35 Whoever does God's will is my brother and sister and mother."

19 Now Jesus' mother and brothers came to see him, but they were not able to get near him because of the crowd.

3 Jesus' brothers said to him, "Leave Galilee and go to Judea, so that your disciples there may see the works you do.4 No one who wants to become a public figure acts in secret. Since you are doing these things, show yourself to the world."5 For even his own brothers did not believe in him.

17 Jesus said, "Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet ascended to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, 'I am ascending to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God.'"

14 They all joined together constantly in prayer, along with the women and Mary the mother of Jesus, and with his brothers.

19 I saw none of the other apostles —only James, the Lord's brother.

10 In bringing many sons and daughters to glory, it was fitting that God, for whom and through whom everything exists, should make the pioneer of their salvation perfect through what he suffered.11 Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. [7]
