The Eternal Word

John Baptizes Jesus

Our Compassionate High Priest

14 Seeing then that we have a great *High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, *let us hold fast our confession. 15 For *we do not have a High Priest who cannot sympathize with our weaknesses, but *was in all points tempted as weare, *yet without sin.

2 looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, *who for the joy that was set before Him *endured the cross, despising the shame, and *has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.

17 Therefore, in all things He had *to be made like His brethren, that He might be *a merciful and faithful High Priest in things pertaining to God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

Hewas bruised for our iniquities;

The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,

And by His *stripes we are healed.

6 *For unto us a Child is born,

Unto us a *Son is given;

And *the government will be upon His shoulder.

And His name will be called

*Wonderful, Counselor, *Mighty God,

Everlasting Father, *Prince of Peace.

Christ on a White Horse

11 *Now I saw heaven opened, and behold, *a white horse. And He who sat on him was called *Faithful and True, and *in righteousness He judges and makes war. 12 *His eyes were like a flame of fire, and on His head were many crowns. *He had a name written that no one knew except Himself. 13 *He was clothed with a robe dipped in blood, and His name is called *The Word of God. 14 *And the armies in heaven, *clothed in fine linen, white and clean, followed Him on white horses. 15 Now *out of His mouth goes a sharp sword, that with it He should strike the nations. And *He Himself will rule them with a rod of iron. *He Himself treads the winepress of the fierceness and wrath of Almighty God. 16 And *He has on His robe and on His thigh a name written:

*KING OF KINGS AND

LORD OF LORDS.

21 The grace of our Lord Jesus Christ be with you all. Amen.

That You May Believe

30 And *truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 *but these are written that *you may believe that Jesus *is the Christ, the Son of God, *and that believing you may have life in His name.
