33 But *seek first *the kingdom of God and his righteousness, *and all these things will be added to you.

18 The wicked earns deceptive wages,

but one who *sows righteousness gets a sure reward.

21 Whoever *pursues righteousness and kindness

will find *life, righteousness, and honor.

3 *To do righteousness and justice

is more acceptable to the Lord than sacrifice.

2 *Every way of a man is right in his own eyes,

but the Lord*weighs the heart.

2 *Treasures gained by wickedness do not profit,

*but righteousness delivers from death.

21 *For our sake he made him to be sin *who knew no sin, so that in him we might become *the righteousness of God.

11 For *the grace of God *has appeared, bringing salvation *for all people, 12 training us to renounce ungodliness and *worldly passions, and *to live self-controlled, upright, and godly lives in *the present age,

Fight the Good Fight of Faith

11 But as for you, *O man of God, *flee these things. *Pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, steadfastness, gentleness.

8 Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is just, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is commendable, if there is any excellence, if there is anything worthy of praise, think about these things.

7 *Do not be deceived: God is not mocked, for *whatever one sows, that will he also reap.

9 And *let us not grow weary of doing good, for in due season we will reap, *if we do not give up.

18 And *a harvest of righteousness *is sown in peace by those who make peace.

16 Therefore, *confess your sins to one another and pray for one another, *that you may be healed. *The prayer of a righteous person has great power as it is working.*

8 *Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. *Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and *purify your hearts, *you double-minded.

28 For the Lord*loves justice;

he will not forsake his *saints.

They are preserved forever,

but the children of the wicked shall be *cut off.

15 *The eyes of the Lord are toward the righteous

*and his ears toward their cry.

6 For the righteous will *never be moved;

*he will be remembered forever.

The Way of the Righteous and the Wicked

1 Blessed is the man*

who *walks not in *the counsel of the wicked,

nor stands in *the way of sinners,

nor *sits in *the seat of *scoffers;

10 *With my whole heart I seek you;

let me not *wander from your commandments!

6 *He will render to each one according to his works:

15 See that *no one repays anyone evil for evil, but always *seek to do good to one another and to everyone.

14 *But even if you should suffer for righteousness’ sake, you will be blessed. *Have no fear of them, *nor be troubled,

33 And if you do good to those who do good to you, what benefit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.

25 It is a snare to say rashly, "It is holy,"

and to reflect only *after making vows.
