Mãe
A mãe é honrada na Bíblia como pilar da família. Seu amor incondicional, sua sabedoria e sua dedicação são celebrados como reflexo do próprio amor de Deus por seus filhos.
O amor de mãe
Pode uma mãe esquecer-se do filho do seu ventre? Ainda que ela se esquecesse, Deus nunca nos abandona. O amor materno reflete o divino.
As one whom his mother comforts, so do I comfort you, || Indeed, you are comforted in Jerusalem."
Behold, sons [are] an inheritance of YHWH, || The fruit of the womb [is] a reward.
A SONG OF THE ASCENTS. O the blessedness of everyone fearing YHWH, || Who is walking in His ways. You surely eat the labor of your hands, || You [are] blessed, and good [is] to you.
Love is long-suffering, it is kind, love does not envy, love does not vaunt itself, is not puffed up, does not act unseemly, does not seek its own things, is not provoked, does not impute evil, [does] not rejoice over unrighteousness, and rejoices with the truth; it bears all things, it believes all, it hopes all, it endures all.
Sabedoria e instrução
A mãe sábia instrui os filhos nos caminhos de Deus. Seu ensino é lei que guia e sua disciplina é expressão de amor verdadeiro.
Hear, my son, the instruction of your father, || And do not leave the law of your mother, For they [are] a graceful wreath to your head, || And chains to your neck.
Give instruction to a youth about his way, || Even when he is old he does not turn from it.
Whoever is sparing his rod is hating his son, || And whoever is loving him has hurried his discipline.
A wise son makes a father glad. And a foolish man is despising his mother.
Only, take heed to yourself, and watch your soul exceedingly, lest you forget the things which your eyes have seen, and lest they turn aside from your heart all [the] days of your life; and you have made them known to your sons and to your sons’ sons.
Honrar a mãe
Honra teu pai e tua mãe. A mulher virtuosa é digna de louvor — seus filhos se levantam e a chamam bem-aventurada.
Honor your father and your mother, so that your days are prolonged on the ground which your God YHWH is giving to you.
The children: obey your parents in the LORD, for this is right; honor your father and mother, which is the first command with a promise, "That it may be well with you, and you may live a long time on the land."
[ALEPH-BET] A woman of worth who finds? Indeed, her price [is] far above rubies.
Strength and honor [are] her clothing, || And she rejoices at a latter day. She has opened her mouth in wisdom, || And the law of kindness [is] on her tongue. She [is] watching the ways of her household, || And she does not eat bread of sloth. Her sons have risen up, and pronounce her blessed, || Her husband, and he praises her, "The daughters who have done worthily [are] many, || You have gone up above them all." Favor [is] deceitful, and beauty [is] vain, || A woman fearing YHWH, she may boast herself.
