Mediador
Jesus é o único mediador entre Deus e os homens. Ele é o caminho, a verdade e a vida — ninguém vem ao Pai senão por Ele. Sua intercessão é eterna e perfeita.
O único mediador
Há um só Deus e um só mediador entre Deus e os homens — Cristo Jesus. Ele intercede por nós diante do Pai com autoridade eterna.
5 For there is but one God and but one Mediator between God and men–Christ Jesus, Himself man;
6 »I am the Way,« replied Jesus, »and the Truth and the Life. No one comes to the Father except through me.
6 But, as a matter of fact, the ministry which Christ has obtained is all the nobler a ministry, in that He is at the same time the negotiator of a sublimer covenant, based upon sublimer promises.
15 And because of this He is the negotiator of a new Covenant, in order that, since a life has been given in atonement for the offences committed under the first Covenant, those who have been called may receive the eternal inheritance which has been promised to them.
Intercessão e proteção
Jesus rogou ao Pai que nos guarde do mal. O Espírito intercede por nós com gemidos inexprimíveis, e nada nos separa do amor de Cristo.
15 I do not ask that Thou wilt remove them out of the world, but that Thou wilt protect them from the Evil one.
27 and the Searcher of hearts knows what the Spirit's meaning is, because His intercessions for God's people are in harmony with God's will.
38 For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither the lower ranks of evil angels nor the higher, neither things present nor things future, nor the forces of nature,39 nor height nor depth, nor any other created thing, will be able to separate us from the love of God which rests upon us in Christ Jesus our Lord.
21 He has made Him who knew nothing of sin to be sin for us, in order that in Him we may become the righteousness of God.
