Morte

Cristo venceu a morte

55 O death, where is thy victory? O death, where is thy sting?56 Now the sting of death is sin: and the power of sin is the law.57 But thanks be to God, who hath given us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.

26 And the enemy death shall be destroyed last: For he hath put all things under his feet. And whereas he saith,

11 A faithful saying: for if we be dead with him, we shall live also with him.

6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection. In these the second death hath no power; but they shall be priests of God and of Christ; and shall reign with him a thousand years.

A esperança da vida eterna

Jesus disse: 'Eu sou a ressurreição e a vida.'

25 Jesus said to her: I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, although he be dead, shall live:26 And every one that liveth, and believeth in me, shall not die for ever. Believest thou this?

25 Jesus said to her: I am the resurrection and the life: he that believeth in me, although he be dead, shall live:26 And every one that liveth, and believeth in me, shall not die for ever. Believest thou this?

27 My sheep hear my voice: and I know them, and they follow me.28 And I give them life everlasting; and they shall not perish for ever, and no man shall pluck them out of my hand.

16 For God so loved the world, as to give his only begotten Son; that whosoever believeth in him, may not perish, but may have life everlasting.

13 For if we believe that Jesus died, and rose again; even so them who have slept through Jesus, will God bring with him.14 For this we say unto you in the word of the Lord, that we who are alive, who remain unto the coming of the Lord, shall not prevent them who have slept.

16 Then we who are alive, who are left, shall be taken up together with them in the clouds to meet Christ, into the air, and so shall we be always with the Lord.17 Wherefore, comfort ye one another with these words.

28 And fear ye not them that kill the body, and are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him that can destroy both soul and body in hell.

25 For he that will save his life, shall lose it: and he that shall lose his life for my sake, shall find it.

23 But I am straitened between two: having a desire to be dissolved and to be with Christ, a thing by far the better.24 But to abide still in the flesh, is needful for you.

20 But our conversation is in heaven; from whence also we look for the Saviour, our Lord Jesus Christ,21 Who will reform the body of our lowness, made like to the body of his glory, according to the operation whereby also he is able to subdue all things unto himself.

4 For though I should walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I will fear no evils, for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff, they have comforted me.

4 For though I should walk in the midst of the shadow of death, I will fear no evils, for thou art with me. Thy rod and thy staff, they have comforted me.

8 For whether we live, we live unto the Lord; or whether we die, we die unto the Lord. Therefore, whether we live, or whether we die, we are the Lord's.

A eternidade nos aguarda

Deus enxugará toda lágrima. A morte será o último inimigo destruído.

3 And I heard a great voice from the throne, saying: Behold the tabernacle of God with men, and he will dwell with them. And they shall be his people; and God himself with them shall be their God.4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: and death shall be no more, nor mourning, nor crying, nor sorrow shall be any more, for the former things are passed away.

4 And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes: and death shall be no more, nor mourning, nor crying, nor sorrow shall be any more, for the former things are passed away.

27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, and after this the judgment:

38 For I am sure that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor might,39 Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

7 For scarce for a just man will one die; yet perhaps for a good man some one would dare to die.8 But God commendeth his charity towards us; because when as yet we were sinners, according to the time,

17 For if by one man's offence death reigned through one; much more they who receive abundance of grace, and of the gift, and of justice, shall reign in life through one, Jesus Christ.

23 For the wages of sin is death. But the grace of God, life everlasting, in Christ Jesus our Lord.

1 What needeth a man to seek things that are above him, whereas he knoweth not what is profitable for him in his life, in all the days of his pilgrimage, and the time that passeth like a shadow? Or who can tell him what shall be after him under the sun?

2 Let peace come, let him rest in his bed that hath walked in his uprightness.

2 The people that walked in darkness, have seen a great light: to them that dwelt in the region of the shadow of death, light is risen.

17 But of the tree of knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat. for in what day soever thou shalt eat of it, thou shalt die the death.

48 Remember what my substance is for hast thou made all the children of men in vain?

7 If I shall walk in the midst of tribulation, thou wilt quicken me: and thou hast stretched forth thy hand against the wrath of my enemies: and thy right hand hath saved me.8 The Lord will repay for me: thy mercy, O Lord, endureth for ever: O despise not the work of thy hands.

6 Put me as a seal upon thy heart, as a seal upon thy arm, for love is strong as death, jealousy as hard as hell, the lamps thereof are fire and flames.

14 Behold this day I am going into the way of all the earth, and you shall know with all your mind that of all the words which the Lord promised to perform for you, not one hath failed.

32 For I desire not the death of him that dieth, saith the Lord God, return ye and live.

46 And Jesus crying out with a loud voice, said: Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit. And saying this, he gave up the ghost.

23 And lifting up his eyes when he was in torments, he saw Abraham afar off, and Lazarus in his bosom:24 And he cried, and said: Father Abraham, have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, to cool my tongue: for I am tormented in this flame.

15 Then when concupiscence hath conceived, it bringeth forth sin. But sin, when it is completed, begetteth death.
