Mudança de vida
A mudança de vida é possível em Cristo. Não importa o passado, qual foi o erro ou quão fundo a queda — Deus renova, restaura e transforma completamente aquele que se volta para Ele.
Nova vida em Cristo
Se alguém está em Cristo, nova criação é. Deus nos dá coração novo, mente renovada e esperança para o futuro.
17 So that if any one is in Christ, he is a new creature: the old state of things has passed away; a new state of things has come into existence.
1 I plead with you therefore, brethren, by the compassionsof God, to present all your faculties to Him as a living and holy sacrifice acceptable to Him. This with you will be an act of reasonable worship.2 And do not follow the customs of the present age, but be transformed by the entire renewal of your minds, so that you may learn by experience what God's will is–that will which is good and beautiful and perfect.
20 I have been crucified with Christ, and it is no longer I that live, but Christ that lives in me; and the life which I now live in the body I live through faith in the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself up to death on my behalf.
Passos para a transformação
A mudança começa com confissão, fé e decisão. Deus é fiel para perdoar e completar a boa obra que começou em nós.
9 If we confess our sins, He is so faithful and just that He forgives us our sins and cleanses us from all unrighteousness.
6 Do not be over-anxious about anything, but by prayer and earnest pleading, together with thanksgiving, let your request be unreservedly made known in the presence of God.7 And then the peace of God, which transcends all our powers of thought, will be a garrison to guard your hearts and minds in union with Christ Jesus.
15 Earnestly seek to commend yourself to God as a servant who, because of his straightforward dealing with the word of truth, has no reason to feel any shame.
Coragem para mudar
Não temas, porque Deus está contigo. Ele nos fortalece para sermos sal da terra e nos dá palavras que edificam e transformam.
13 You are the salt of the earth; but if salt has become tasteless, in what way can it regain its saltness? It is no longer good for anything but to be thrown away and trodden on by the passers by.
29 Let no unwholesome words ever pass your lips, but let all your words be good for benefiting others according to the need of the moment, so that they may be a means of blessing to the hearers.
16 Therefore we are not cowards. Nay, even though our outward man is wasting away, yet our inward man is being renewed day by day.17 For this our light and transitory burden of suffering is achieving for us a preponderating, yes, a vastly preponderating, and eternal weight of glory;18 while we look not at things seen, but things unseen; for things seen are temporary, but things unseen are eternal.
