A mulher sábia

1 A wise woman buildeth her house: but the foolish will pull down with her hands that also which is built.

10 The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom: and the knowledge of the holy is prudence.

33 The fear of the Lord is the lesson of wisdom: and humility goeth before glory.

5 But if any of you want wisdom, let him ask of God, who giveth to all men abundantly, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.

Virtude e excelência

A mulher virtuosa é coroada de força e dignidade. Ela abre a boca com sabedoria e a instrução da bondade está na sua língua.

10 Who shall find a valiant woman? far and from the uttermost coasts is the price of her.

25 Strength and beauty are her clothing, and she shall laugh in the latter day.26 She hath opened her mouth to wisdom, and the law of clemency is on her tongue.

28 Her children rose up, and called her blessed: her husband, and he praised her.29 Many daughters have gathered together riches: thou hast surpassed them all.

30 Favour is deceitful, and beauty is vain: the woman that feareth the Lord, she shall be praised.

4 A diligent woman is a crown to her husband: and she that doth things worthy of confusion, is a rottenness in his bones.

16 A gracious woman shall find glory: and the strong shall have riches.

14 House and riches are given by parents: but a prudent wife is properly from the Lord.

Exemplo e influência

A mulher sábia é exemplo de fé e bom testemunho. Suas atitudes inspiram e seu legado abençoa as gerações que virão.

3 The aged women, in like manner, in holy attire, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teaching well:4 That they may teach the young women to be wise, to love their husbands, to love their children,5 To be discreet, chaste, sober, having a care of the house, gentle, obedient to their husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.

11 The women in like manner chaste, not slanderers, but sober, faithful in all things.

1 Then shall the kingdom of heaven be like to ten virgins, who taking their lamps went out to meet the bridegroom and the bride.2 And five of them were foolish, and five wise.3 But the five foolish, having taken their lamps, did not take oil with them:4 But the wise took oil in their vessels with the lamps.5 And the bridegroom tarrying, they all slumbered and slept.6 And at midnight there was a cry made: Behold the bridegroom cometh, go ye forth to meet him.7 Then all those virgins arose and trimmed their lamps.8 And the foolish said to the wise: Give us of your oil, for our lamps are gone out.9 The wise answered, saying: Lest perhaps there be not enough for us and for you, go ye rather to them that sell, and buy for yourselves.10 Now whilst they went to buy, the bridegroom came: and they that were ready, went in with him to the marriage, and the door was shut.11 But at last come also the other virgins, saying: Lord, Lord, open to us.12 But he answering said: Amen I say to you, I know you not.13 Watch ye therefore, because you know not the day nor the hour.
