Namoro e sexo
3 For this is the will of God, your sanctification; that you should abstain from fornication;4 That every one of you should know how to possess his vessel in sanctification and honour:5 Not in the passion of lust, like the Gentiles that know not God:
13 Meat for the belly, and the belly for the meats; but God shall destroy both it and them: but the body is not for fornication, but for the Lord, and the Lord for the body.
3 And every one that hath this hope in him, sanctifieth himself, as he also is holy.
Arrependimento e restauração
Bem-aventurado aquele cujo pecado é perdoado. Deus restaura os que se arrependem e cria neles um coração limpo e renovado.
1 To David himself, understanding. Blessed are they whose iniquities are forgiven, and whose sins are covered.2 Blessed is the man to whom the Lord hath not imputed sin, and in whose spirit there is no guile.3 Because I was silent my bones grew old; whilst I cried out all the day long.4 For day and night thy hand was heavy upon me: I am turned in my anguish, whilst the thorn is fastened.5 I have acknowledged my sin to thee, and my injustice I have not concealed. I said I will confess against myself my injustice to the Lord: and thou hast forgiven the wickedness of my sin.6 For this shall every one that is holy pray to thee in a seasonable time. And yet in a flood of many waters, they shall not come nigh unto him.
2 when Nathan the prophet came to him after he had sinned with Bethsabee.3 Have mercy on me, O God, according to thy great mercy. And according to the multitude of thy tender mercies blot out my iniquity.4 Wash me yet more from my iniquity, and cleanse me from my sin.
7 For behold I was conceived in iniquities; and in sins did my mother conceive me.8 For behold thou hast loved truth: the uncertain and hidden things of thy wisdom thou hast made manifest to me.9 Thou shalt sprinkle me with hyssop, and I shall be cleansed: thou shalt wash me, and I shall be made whiter than snow.10 To my hearing thou shalt give joy and gladness: and the bones that have been humbled shall rejoice.11 Turn away thy face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities.12 Create a clean heart in me, O God: and renew a right spirit within my bowels.
