'Não temas' é uma das frases mais repetidas na Bíblia. Deus a pronuncia nos momentos de maior temor, lembrando que sua presença e poder são maiores que qualquer ameaça.
Deus está contigo
Não temas, porque eu sou contigo. Deus repete essa promessa em cada crise, guerra e desafio que seus filhos enfrentam.
‘Do not fear, for I am with you;
Do not be afraid, for I am your God.
I will strengthen you, I will also help you,
I will also uphold you with My righteous right hand.’
"For I am the Lord your God who takes hold of your right hand,
Who says to you, ‘Do not fear, I will help you.’
"Do not fear, you worm Jacob, you people of Israel;
I will help you," declares the Lord, "and your Redeemer is the Holy One of Israel.
Go up on a high mountain,
Zion, messenger of good news,
Raise your voice forcefully,
Jerusalem, messenger of good news;
Raise it up, do not fear.
Say to the cities of Judah,
"Here is your God!"
Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous! Do not be terrified nor dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
Be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or in dread of them, for the Lord your God is the One who is going with you. He will not desert you or abandon you."
After these things the word of the Lord came to Abram in a vision, saying,
"Do not fear, Abram,
I am a shield to you;
Your reward shall be very great."
Coragem diante do perigo
Não tenhas medo — o Senhor teu Deus está no meio de ti, poderoso para salvar. Ele luta por nós e dá forças aos medrosos.
On that day it will be said to Jerusalem:
"Do not be afraid, Zion;
Do not let your hands fall limp.
"The Lord your God is in your midst,
A victorious warrior.
He will rejoice over you with joy,
He will be quiet in His love,
He will rejoice over you with shouts of joy.
And he said, "Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are greater than those who are with them." Then Elisha prayed and said, "Lord, please, open his eyes so that he may see." And the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he saw; and behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
Do not fear, land; shout for joy and rejoice,
For the Lord has done great things.
But the Lord said to me,
"Do not say, ‘I am a youth,’
Because everywhere I send you, you shall go,
And all that I command you, you shall speak.
"Do not be afraid of them,
For I am with you to save you," declares the Lord.
And the Lord said to Paul by a vision at night, "Do not be afraid any longer, but go on speaking and do not be silent;for I am with you, and no one will attack you to harm you, for I have many people in this city."
And as for you, son of man, you are not to fear them nor fear their words, though thistles and thorns are with you and you sit on scorpions; you are not to fear their words nor be dismayed at their presence, since they are a rebellious house. But you shall speak My words to them whether they listen or not, for they are rebellious.
Fé que vence o medo
O medo não vem de Deus. Jesus disse: não temas, crê somente! A fé dissipa o medo e nos conecta ao poder de Deus.
But Jesus, overhearing what was being spoken, *said to the synagogue official, "Do not be afraid, only believe."
Do not fear what you are about to suffer. Behold, the devil is about to throw some of you into prison, so that you will be tested, and you will have tribulation for ten days. Be faithful until death, and I will give you the crown of life.
And do not be afraid of those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
But when he had thought this over, behold, an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream, saying, "Joseph, son of David, do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife; for the Child who has been conceived in her is of the Holy Spirit.
And the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God.
But when Simon Peter saw this, he fell down at Jesus’ knees, saying, "Go away from me, Lord, for I am a sinful man!"
