13 You made me from the inside out,* shaping me in my mother’s womb.

14 I praise you for making me in such an awesome and wonderful way. What you do is incredible—I realize this completely!

15 My growing body* was not hidden from you as I was formed in secret, as I was intricately put together "in the depths of the earth."*

16 You saw me as an embryo, and in your book all my days were written down—the days that were made for me before any of them existed.

5 "I knew exactly who you would be before I created you in your mother’s womb; I chose you before you were born to be a prophet to the nations."

9 However, you brought me safely through birth, and led me to trust in you at my mother’s breasts.

5 Just as you don’t know how the breath of life comes to the child in its mother’s womb, so you can’t understand the work of God, the Creator of everything.

9 Would I bring a baby to the point of birth and then not deliver it? the Lord asks. Would I who deliver the baby stop it from being born? the Lord asks again.

3 Children certainly are a gift from the Lord, for a family is a blessing.*

17 All that’s good, every perfect gift, is from above, and comes down from the Father who made heaven’s lights. Unlike them he doesn’t change—he doesn’t vary or cause shadows.*

27 I prayed for this boy, and since the Lord has given me what I asked him for,

21 A woman in labor suffers pain because her time has come, but once the baby is born, she forgets the agony because of the joy that a child has been brought into the world.

14 But Jesus said, "Let the little children come to me. Don’t stop them. The kingdom of heaven belongs to those who are like them!"

16 He hugged the children, placed his hands on them, and blessed them.
