O nascimento é obra das mãos de Deus. Cada criança é formada por Ele no ventre materno com propósito e amor. A Bíblia celebra a vida desde a concepção até a eternidade.
O nascimento de Jesus
O maior nascimento da história mudou o curso da humanidade. Jesus nasceu de uma virgem pelo poder do Espírito Santo, conforme as profecias.
18 And of Jesus Christ, the birth was thus: For his mother Mary having been betrothed to Joseph, before their coming together she was found to have conceived from the Holy Spirit,19 and Joseph her husband being righteous, and not willing to make her an example, did wish privately to send her away.20 And on his thinking of these things, lo, a messenger of the Lord in a dream appeared to him, saying, 'Joseph, son of David, you may not fear to receive Mary your wife, for that which in her was conceived is of the Holy Spirit,21 and she shall bring forth a son, and you shall call his name Jesus, for he shall save his people from their sins.'
22 And all this has come to pass, that it may be fulfilled that was spoken by the Lord through the prophet, saying,23 'Lo, the virgin shall conceive, and she shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel,' which is, being interpreted 'With us he is God.'24 And Joseph, having risen from the sleep, did as the messenger of the Lord directed him, and received his wife,25 and did not know her till she brought forth her son -- the first-born, and he called his name Jesus.
26 And in the sixth month was the messenger Gabriel sent by God, to a city of Galilee, the name of which is Nazareth,27 to a virgin, betrothed to a man, whose name is Joseph, of the house of David, and the name of the virgin is Mary.
30 And the messenger said to her, 'Fear not, Mary, for you have found favour with God;31 and lo, you shall conceive in the womb, and shall bring forth a son, and call his name Jesus;32 he shall be great, and Son of the Highest he shall be called, and the Lord God shall give him the throne of David his father,33 and he shall reign over the house of Jacob to the ages; and of his reign there shall be no end.'
34 And Mary said unto the messenger, 'How shall this be, seeing a husband I do not know?'35 And the messenger answering said to her, 'The Holy Spirit shall come upon you, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow you, therefore also the holy-begotten thing shall be called Son of God;
Formados desde o ventre
Deus nos teceu no ventre de nossa mãe. Antes de nascermos, Ele já nos conhecia e nos separou para um propósito sagrado.
Crianças — bênção e promessa
Jesus acolheu as crianças e disse: delas é o Reino dos céus. Os filhos são herança do Senhor e motivo de alegria para os pais.
14 But Jesus said, 'Permit the children, and forbid them not, to come unto me, for of such is the reign of the heavens;'
4 whoever then may humble himself as this child, he is the greater in the reign of the heavens.5 'And he who may receive one such child in my name, does receive me.
16 and having taken them in his arms, having put his hands upon them, he was blessing them.
Nascer de novo
Jesus ensinou que é preciso nascer de novo para ver o Reino de Deus. O novo nascimento é espiritual — pelo Espírito e pela Palavra.
3 Jesus answered and said to him, 'Verily, verily, I say to you, If any one may not be born from above, he is not able to see the reign of God;'
21 'The woman, when she may bear, has sorrow, because her hour did come, and when she may bear the child, no more does she remember the anguish, because of the joy that a man was born to the world.
9 every one who has been begotten of God, sin he does not, because his seed in him does remain, and he is not able to sin, because of God he has been begotten.
