Nem só de pão vive o homem
'Nem só de pão vive o homem' — essa declaração de Jesus ao diabo no deserto revela que a Palavra de Deus é o verdadeiro alimento que sustenta a vida em plenitude.
O verdadeiro alimento
Quando tentado a transformar pedras em pão, Jesus respondeu com a Escritura: a vida humana depende de toda palavra que sai da boca de Deus.
4 But, he, answering, said, It is written,Not on bread alone, shall man live, but on every declaration coming forth through the mouth of God.
3 And the adversary said to himIf thou art Gods, Son, speak unto this stone; that it become bread.4 And Jesus made answer unto himIt is written: Not, on bread alone, shall, man, live.
3 So he humbled thee, and suffered thee to hunger, and fed thee with manna which thou hadst not known, neither had thy fathers known,that he might lead thee to consider that not on bread alone, shall the son of earth live, but on whatsoever cometh from the bidding of Yahweh, shall the son of earth live.
Jesus, o pão vivo
Jesus é o pão da vida que desceu do céu. Quem come deste pão viverá para sempre. Ele é o sustento que satisfaz a fome da alma.
35 Jesus said unto themI, am the bread of life: he that cometh unto me, in nowise shall hunger, and, he that believeth on me, in nowise shall thirst, any more.
48 I am the bread of life:
51 I, am the living bread, which, out of heaven, came down: If one eat of this bread, he shall live unto times age-abiding; and, the bread, moreover, which, I, will give, is, my fleshfor the worlds life.
57 Just as the living Father sent me,and I live by reason of the Father, he also that feedeth upon me, even he, shall live by reason of me.58 This, is the bread, which, out of heaven, came down:Not just as your fathers did eatand died! He that feedeth upon this bread, shall live unto times age-abiding.

Não andeis ansiosos pelo que comer ou beber. Buscai primeiro o Reino de Deus, e todas estas coisas vos serão acrescentadas.
25 For this cause, I say unto you: Be not anxious for your life, what ye shall eat or what ye shall drink ,or for your body, what ye shall put on: Is not, the life, more than, the food? And, the body, than, the raiment?
29 Ye, therefore, be not seeking what ye shall eat and what ye shall drink, and be not held in suspense;30 For, after all these things, do, the nations of the world, seek,but, your Father, knoweth that ye need these things.31 Notwithstanding, be seeking his kingdom,and, these things, shall be added unto you.

17 Though, the fig-tree, should not blossom, and there be no sprouting in the vines, the yield of the olive, should have deceived, and, the fields, not have brought forth food,the flock, have been consumed out of the fold, and there be no herd in the stalls,18 Yet, I, in Yahweh, will rejoice,I will exult in the God of my salvation.19 Yahweh, My Lord, is my strength, therefore hath he made my feet like hinds, and, upon my high places, will he cause me to march along.
