Behold, days are coming," || A declaration of YHWH, || "And I have made a new covenant || With the house of Israel || And with the house of Judah, Not like the covenant that I made with their fathers, || In the day of My laying hold on their hand, || To bring them out of the land of Egypt, || In that they made My covenant void, || And I ruled over them," || A declaration of YHWH. "For this [is] the covenant that I make, || With the house of Israel, after those days," || A declaration of YHWH, || "I have given My law in their inward part, || And I write it on their heart, || And I have been their God, || And they are My people. And they do not teach anymore || Each his neighbor, and each his brother, || Saying, Know YHWH, || For they all know Me, from their least to their greatest," || A declaration of YHWH; "For I pardon their iniquity, || And I make no more mention of their sin."
but now He has obtained a more excellent service, how much He is also mediator of a better covenant, which has been sanctioned on better promises, for if that first were faultless, a place would not have been sought for a second.
In the saying "new," He has made the first obsolete, and what is becoming obsolete and growing old [is] near disappearing.
by so much also has Jesus become guarantee of a better covenant,
Selada com sangue
Jesus instituiu a Nova Aliança na Última Ceia: 'Este cálice é a nova aliança no meu sangue.' Seu sacrifício é definitivo e perfeito.
In like manner, also, the cup after the dining, saying, "This cup [is] the New Covenant in My blood, that is being poured forth for you.
and having taken the cup, and having given thanks, He gave to them, saying, "Drink of it—all; for this is My blood of the New Covenant, that is being poured out for many, for forgiveness of sins;
how much more will the blood of the Christ (who through the perpetual Spirit offered Himself unblemished to God) purify your conscience from dead works to serve the living God? And because of this, He is mediator of a new covenant, that [His] death having come for redemption of the transgressions under the first covenant, those called may receive the promise of the continuous inheritance,
for where a covenant [is], [it is] necessary to establish the death of the [one] having made [it], for a covenant is affirmed at death, since it is not in force at all when the [one] having made [it] lives, for which reason, not even the first has been initiated apart from blood, for every command having been spoken, according to law, by Moses, to all the people, having taken the blood of the calves and goats, with water, and scarlet wool, and hyssop, he sprinkled both the scroll itself and all the people, saying, "This [is] the blood of the covenant that God enjoined to you,"
For the Law having a shadow of the good things coming—not the very image of the matters, every year, by the same sacrifices that they offer continually, is never able to make perfect those coming near, since, would they not have ceased to be offered, because of those serving having no more conscience of sins, having been purified once? But in those [sacrifices] is a remembrance of sins every year, for it is impossible for blood of bulls and goats to take away sins.
Reconciliação e vida nova
Pela Nova Aliança somos reconciliados com Deus, trazidos para perto pelo sangue de Cristo e feitos embaixadores da reconciliação.
so that if anyone [is] in Christ—[he is] a new creature; the old things passed away, behold, all things have become new. And all things [are] of God, who reconciled us to Himself through Jesus Christ, and gave to us the ministry of the reconciliation, how that God was in Christ—reconciling the world to Himself, not reckoning to them their trespasses; and having put in us the word of the reconciliation, in behalf of Christ, then, we are ambassadors, as if God were calling through us, we implore, in behalf of Christ, "Be reconciled to God"; He made Him having not known sin [to be] sin in our behalf, that we may become the righteousness of God in Him.
and such trust we have through the Christ toward God, not that we are sufficient of ourselves to think anything, as of ourselves, but our sufficiency [is] of God, who also made us sufficient [to be] servants of the New Covenant, not of letter, but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, and the Spirit makes alive.
For this reason, remember, that you [were] once the nations in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that called Circumcision in the flesh made by hands, that you were at that time apart from Christ, having been alienated from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers to the covenants of the promise, having no hope, and without God in the world; but now, in Christ Jesus, you being once far off became near in the blood of the Christ,
in this is love, not that we loved God, but that He loved us, and sent His Son [as] the propitiation for our sins.
