A nova jerusalém
A Nova Jerusalém é a cidade de Deus que desce do céu, morada eterna dos redimidos. Nela não haverá mar, morte, choro nem dor — Deus habitará com seu povo para sempre.
A cidade celestial
João viu a santa cidade, a Nova Jerusalém, descendo do céu como noiva adornada para o esposo. Ali Deus morará com seu povo.
and I saw the holy city, New Jerusalem, coming down from God out of Heaven, made ready as a bride adorned for her husband; and I heard a great voice out of Heaven, saying, "Behold, the dwelling place of God [is] with men, and He will dwell with them, and they will be His peoples, and God Himself will be with them [as] their God, and God will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and there will be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying, nor will there be anymore pain, because the first things passed away."
and he carried me away in the Spirit to a mountain great and high, and showed me the great city, the holy Jerusalem, coming down out of Heaven from God, having the glory of God, and her light—like a most precious stone, as a jasper stone clear as crystal, also having a great and high wall, having twelve gates, and at the gates twelve messengers, and names written thereon, which are [those] of the twelve tribes of the sons of Israel— at the east three gates, at the north three gates, at the south three gates, at the west three gates; and the wall of the city had twelve foundations, and on them names of the twelve apostles of the Lamb.
And I did not see a temple in it, for the LORD God, the Almighty, and the Lamb, are its temple. And the city has no need of the sun, nor of the moon, that they may shine in it; for the glory of God lightens it, and the lamp of it—the Lamb;
And he showed me [the] river of [the] water of life, radiant as crystal, going forth out of the throne of God and of the Lamb in the midst of its street, and of the river on this side and on that—[the] Tree of Life, producing twelve fruits, yielding its fruit according to each month, and the leaves of the tree [are] for the healing of the nations; and there will no longer be any curse, and the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and His servants will serve Him, and they will see His face, and His Name [is] on their foreheads, and there will be no night there, and they have no need of [the] light of a lamp and of [the] light of [the] sun, because the LORD God gives them light, and they will reign through the ages of the ages.
A pátria celestial
Os patriarcas aguardavam uma cidade que tem fundamentos, cujo arquiteto e construtor é Deus. Nosso lar eterno está além desta vida.
but now they long for better, that is, heavenly, for this reason God is not ashamed of them, to be called their God, for He prepared a city for them.
But you came to Mount Zion, and to [the] city of the living God, to the heavenly Jerusalem, and to myriads of messengers, to the assembly-place and Assembly of the Firstborn registered in Heaven, and to God the judge of all, and to spirits of righteous men made perfect, and to a mediator of a new covenant—Jesus, and to blood of sprinkling, speaking better things than that of Abel!
and the Jerusalem above is the free [woman], which is mother of us all,
"Do not let your heart be troubled, believe in God, believe also in Me; in the house of My Father are many rooms; and if not, I would have told you; I go on to prepare a place for you; and if I go on and prepare a place for you, I come again, and will receive you to Myself, that where I am you also may be;
A glória da Nova Jerusalém
Deus habitará no meio do seu povo. Sua presença será a luz da cidade, e o rio da vida fluirá do trono de Deus e do Cordeiro.
A river—its streams make glad the city of God, || Your holy place of the dwelling places of the Most High.
[It is] eighteen thousand around, and the renown of the city [is] from the day YHWH [is] there."
Sing, and rejoice, O daughter of Zion, || For behold, I am coming, and have dwelt in your midst, || A declaration of YHWH. And many nations have been joined to YHWH in that day, || And they have been to Me for a people, || And I have dwelt in your midst, || And you have known that YHWH of Hosts has sent Me to you. And YHWH has inherited Judah, || His portion on the holy ground, || And He has fixed again on Jerusalem.
Behold, I come quickly, be holding fast that which you have, that no one may receive your garland. He who is overcoming—I will make him a pillar in the temple of My God, and he may not go outside anymore, and I will write on him the Name of My God, and the name of the city of My God, the New Jerusalem, that comes down out of Heaven from My God—also My new Name.
and if anyone may take away from the words of the scroll of this prophecy, God will take away his part from the Scroll of Life, and out of the holy city, and the things that have been written in this scroll."
