Obediência aos pais
A obediência aos pais é mandamento divino com promessa de vida longa. A Bíblia valoriza a honra filial e ensina os filhos a respeitar e obedecer aos pais com amor.
Honrar pai e mãe
O quinto mandamento ordena honrar pai e mãe. É o primeiro mandamento com promessa: para que vá bem e vivas muito na terra.
4 God said, "Respect your father and your mother." And God said, "Anyone who says wrong things to his father or his mother will surely die."
1 Children, obey your parents as the Lord wants you to. This is the right thing to do. 2,2 Respect your father and mother. This is the first law of God with a promise: So that all will be well with you, and that you may live long on earth.3 Fathers, do not make your children angry. But teach them the things children need to know, and tell them what they must not do. Teach them what Christ would teach them.4 Servants, obey your boss. Respect him with all your heart and try to please him as you would Christ.
Obedecer e respeitar
Filhos, obedecei a vossos pais no Senhor. A obediência filial é expressão de amor e temor a Deus.
20 Children, obey your parents in everything. This pleases the Lord.
Disciplina e consequências
A vara e a repreensão dão sabedoria. A Bíblia adverte sobre as consequências sérias da rebeldia e desonra aos pais.
7 Do not give up when you are punished. God is treating you like sons. Is there a son who has never been punished by his father?
4 If they have children or grandchildren, they should learn that the first place to do Gods work is in the home to help their own family. They should help their parents because their parents have helped them. This will please God.
