Órfãos
Perder a referência de um pai deixa uma marca profunda de desamparo na vida de qualquer pessoa. Na Bíblia, o Criador se revela de maneira muito firme como Aquele que toma a responsabilidade de ser a família de quem ficou sozinho. Ele olha para a fragilidade humana com um amor prático, que se importa com a justiça e com a proteção dos vulneráveis.
Essa postura divina não fica apenas no sentimento, pois ela transborda para o comportamento de quem decide seguir os caminhos do Senhor. A Escritura mostra repetidas vezes que o cuidado com os desamparados é um reflexo direto da fé genuína. Quando você lê o que Deus diz sobre os que não têm amparo, descobre um convite claro para refletir essa mesma compaixão no dia a dia.
Deus tem um cuidado especial pelos órfãos. Ele se apresenta como pai dos que não têm pai e defensor dos desamparados, e ordena a seu povo que faça o mesmo.
Deus, pai dos órfãos
O Senhor é pai dos órfãos e protetor das viúvas. Ele sustenta os que perderam amparo humano e cuida deles com ternura.
Sing vnto God, and sing prayses vnto his name: exalt him that rideth vpon the heauens, in his Name Iah, and reioyce before him. He is a Father of the fatherlesse, and a Iudge of the widowes, euen God in his holy habitation.(Psalms 68:4,5)
The Lord keepeth the strangers: he relieueth the fatherlesse and widowe: but he ouerthroweth the way of the wicked.(Psalms 146:9)
Doe right to the poore and fatherlesse: doe iustice to the poore and needie.(Psalms 82:3)
I will not leaue you fatherles: but I will come to you.(John 14:18)
O chamado da justiça
A religião pura é visitar órfãos e viúvas em suas aflições. Deus ordena a defesa do necessitado e o cuidado com os mais frágeis.
Pure religion and vndefiled before God, euen the Father, is this, to visite the fatherlesse, and widdowes in their aduersitie, and to keepe himselfe vnspotted of the world.(James 1:27)
Learne to doe well: seeke iudgement, relieue the oppressed: iudge the fatherlesse and defend the widowe.(Isaiah 1:17)
Thus speaketh the Lord of hostes, saying, Execute true iudgement, and shewe mercy and compassion, euery man to his brother, And oppresse not the widowe, nor the fatherles, the stranger nor the poore, and let none of you imagine euil against his brother in your heart.(Zechariah 7:9,10)
Ye shall not trouble any widowe, nor fatherlesse childe. If thou vexe or trouble such, and so he call and cry vnto me, I will surely heare his cry. Then shall my wrath be kindled, and I will kill you with the sword, and your wiues shall be widowes, and your children fatherlesse.(Exodus 22:22-24)
For I deliuered the poore that cryed, and the fatherlesse, and him that had none to helpe him. The blessing of him that was ready to perish, came vpon me, and I caused the widowes heart to reioyce.(Job 29:12,13)
