Ouvir a voz de Deus é o privilégio supremo do cristão. Ele fala por sua Palavra, pelo Espírito e em circunstâncias — e as ovelhas reconhecem a voz do bom Pastor.

Jesus disse: minhas ovelhas ouvem minha voz, eu as conheço e elas me seguem. A relação com Deus é íntima e pessoal.
My sheep listen to my voice; I know them, and they follow me.
As it is written in the Scriptures,‘They will all be taught by God.’ Everyone who listens to the Father and learns from him comes to me.
Anyone who belongs to God listens gladly to the words of God. But you don’t listen because you don’t belong to God."

Prologue: Christ, the Eternal Word
In the beginning the Word already existed.
The Word was with God,
and the Word was God.
So the Word became human and made his home among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the Father’s one and only Son.

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip his people to do every good work.
Above all, you must realize that no prophecy in Scripture ever came from the prophet’s own understanding,or from human initiative. No, those prophets were moved by the Holy Spirit, and they spoke from God.
So faith comes from hearing, that is, hearing the Good News about Christ.
Building on a Solid Foundation
"Anyone who listens to my teaching and follows it is wise, like a person who builds a house on solid rock.Though the rain comes in torrents and the floodwaters rise and the winds beat against that house, it won’t collapse because it is built on bedrock.
