Pais e filhos
A relação entre pais e filhos é uma das mais preciosas na Bíblia. Deus estabeleceu a família como escola de fé, amor e formação de caráter.
Honrar pai e mãe
Honrar os pais é o primeiro mandamento com promessa. Os filhos são chamados a obedecer, respeitar e cuidar de seus pais.
1 Children, obey your parents as the Lord wants you to. This is the right thing to do. 2,2 Respect your father and mother. This is the first law of God with a promise: So that all will be well with you, and that you may live long on earth.3 Fathers, do not make your children angry. But teach them the things children need to know, and tell them what they must not do. Teach them what Christ would teach them.
20 Children, obey your parents in everything. This pleases the Lord.
4 If they have children or grandchildren, they should learn that the first place to do Gods work is in the home to help their own family. They should help their parents because their parents have helped them. This will please God.
Instruir os filhos
Os pais devem instruir os filhos no caminho certo. A educação começa cedo, com disciplina amorosa e ensino constante da Palavra.
4 Servants, obey your boss. Respect him with all your heart and try to please him as you would Christ.
21 Fathers, do not make your children angry. They might stop trying to do right.
7 Do not give up when you are punished. God is treating you like sons. Is there a son who has never been punished by his father?
Filhos como bênção
Os filhos são herança do Senhor. A coroa dos velhos são os filhos dos filhos, e a glória dos filhos são seus pais.
11 Which of you fathers will give your son a snake if he asks for a fish?12 Will you give him a scorpion an insect with a sting if he asks for an egg?13 You are wrong and yet you know how to give good things to your children. Much more, the Father in heaven will give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him.
8 A man must care for his own people. At least he must care for his family. If he does not care for them, he shows that he does not believe in God. He is worse than one who has never believed.
