4 Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will not fear evil; for thou art with me: thy rod and thy staffthey indeed comfort me.
1 Of David. The Lord is my light and my salvation; of whom shall I be afraid? the Lord is the fortress of my life; of whom shall I have dread?
9 (9:10) The Lord also will be a stronghold for the oppressed, a stronghold in times of distress.
4 One thing have I asked of the Lord, that I will seek for: that I may dwell in the house of the Lord all the days of my life, to behold the loveliness of the Lord, and to be every morning early in his temple.5 For he will hide me in his pavilion on the day of evil; he will conceal me in the secret of his tabernacle; upon a rock will he place me high.
5 For thou art my hope, O Lord Eternal: thou art my trust from my youth.
Consolação e esperança
Deus consola os humildes e exalta os abatidos. Ele nunca nos desamparará.
8 And the Lord it is that goeth before thee; he will be with thee, he will not let thee fail, nor will he forsake thee: fear not, nor be thou discouraged.
22 Ye shall not fear them; for the Lord your God it is who fighteth for you.
9 Behold, I have commanded thee, Be strong and of good courage; be not dismayed, neither be thou discouraged; for the Lord thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
11 To set up the lowly on high, that those who mourn may rise high to happiness;
Descanso e renovação
Bem-aventurados os que choram, pois serão consolados. A Bíblia nos convida a descansar nos braços do Pai e encontrar paz para a alma.
17 Display on me a sign for good, that those who hate me may see it, and be ashamed; because thou, Lord, hast helped me, and comforted me.
76 Let, I pray thee, thy kindness come to comfort me, according to thy promise unto thy servant.
24 When thou layest thyself down, thou shalt feel no dread; and as thou liest down, thy sleep shall be pleasant.
1 For every thing there is a season; and a proper time is for every pursuit under the heavens.2 There is a time to be born, and a time to die; a time to plant, and a time to pluck up what hath been planted;3 A time to kill, and a time to heal; a time to break down, and a time to build up;4 A time to weep, and a time to laugh; a time to mourn, and a time to dance;5 A time to throw away stones, and a time to gather up stones; a time to embrace, and a time to be far from embracing;6 A time to seek, and a time to let things be lost; a time to keep, and a time to throw away;7 A time to rend, and a time to sew; a time to keep silence, and a time to speak;8 A time to love, and a time to hate; a time of war, and a time of peace.
