O papel do homem
A Bíblia define o papel do homem na família e na sociedade: líder servidor, provedor fiel, pai presente e marido amoroso, seguindo o exemplo de Cristo.
Marido e pai
O marido deve amar a esposa como Cristo amou a Igreja. O pai é chamado a criar os filhos na disciplina e instrução do Senhor.
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church people. He gave his life for the church.
4 Servants, obey your boss. Respect him with all your heart and try to please him as you would Christ.
19 Husbands, love your wives and do not be unkind to them.
7 Husbands, also live with your wife the way you know is right. Respect her because she is a woman. She is not as strong as a man. Also respect her because God has given her, as well as you, the blessing of life. In this way, you will not stop God from doing what you ask him to do.
Provedor e responsável
Quem não cuida dos seus é pior que o descrente. O homem deve trabalhar com diligência e prover para sua família com honra.
8 A man must care for his own people. At least he must care for his family. If he does not care for them, he shows that he does not believe in God. He is worse than one who has never believed.
10 Even when we were with you, we told you this, If any man will not work, do not let him eat.
23 Whatever your work is, do it gladly. Do it as you would do it unto the Lord and not for people.
2 For a man to be a church leader, people must speak well of him. He must have only one wife. He must be able to control himself. He must use good sense. He must behave himself well. He must be kind to strangers in his house. He must be a good teacher.3 He must not get drunk. He must not fight. But he must be kind. He must not quarrel. He must not love money.4 He must be a good leader for his own family. His children must obey him and respect him.
Caráter e liderança
O homem de Deus é corajoso, íntegro e cheio do Espírito. Ele lidera pelo exemplo e guia sua casa nos caminhos do Senhor.
13 Be awake! Stand strong in what you believe. Show that you are men. Be strong.
18 Do not get drunk with wine. That is living in a wrong way. But be filled with the Spirit.
