O papel do homem
A Bíblia define o papel do homem na família e na sociedade: líder servidor, provedor fiel, pai presente e marido amoroso, seguindo o exemplo de Cristo.
Marido e pai
O marido deve amar a esposa como Cristo amou a Igreja. O pai é chamado a criar os filhos na disciplina e instrução do Senhor.
25 Husbands, love your wives, just as Christ loved the church and gave himself up for her
4 Fathers, "do not exasperate your children; instead, bring them up in the training and instruction of the Lord.

Provedor e responsável
Quem não cuida dos seus é pior que o descrente. O homem deve trabalhar com diligência e prover para sua família com honra.
8 Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever.
23 Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters,
2 Now the overseer is to be above reproach, faithful to his wife, temperate, self-controlled, respectable, hospitable, able to teach,3 not given to drunkenness, not violent but gentle, not quarrelsome, not a lover of money.4 He must manage his own family well and see that his children obey him, and he must do so in a manner worthy of full "respect.
