If it seems evil to you to serve Yahweh, choose today whom you will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were beyond the River, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land you dwell; but as for me and my house, we will serve Yahweh."(Joshua 24:15)
Joshua said to the people, "You are witnesses against yourselves that you have chosen Yahweh yourselves, to serve him."
They said, "We are witnesses."(Joshua 24:22)
"I know your works, that you are neither cold nor hot. I wish you were cold or hot. So, because you are lukewarm, and neither hot nor cold, I will vomit you out of my mouth. (Revelation 3:15,16)
Toda escolha produz consequências morais e espirituais
"Therefore I will judge you, house of Israel, everyone according to his ways," says the Lord Yahweh. "Return, and turn yourselves from all your transgressions, so iniquity will not be your ruin. Cast away from you all your transgressions in which you have transgressed; and make yourself a new heart and a new spirit. For why will you die, house of Israel? For I have no pleasure in the death of him who dies," says the Lord Yahweh. "Therefore turn yourselves, and live!(Ezekiel 18:30-32)
who "will pay back to everyone according to their works:" to those who by perseverance in well-doing seek for glory, honor, and incorruptibility, eternal life; but to those who are self-seeking and don’t obey the truth, but obey unrighteousness, will be wrath, indignation,(Romans 2:6-8)
"You stiff-necked and uncircumcised in heart and ears, you always resist the Holy Spirit! As your fathers did, so you do.(Acts 7:51)
Therefore don’t throw away your boldness, which has a great reward. For you need endurance so that, having done the will of God, you may receive the promise.
"In a very little while,
he who comes will come and will not wait.
But the righteous one will live by faith.
If he shrinks back, my soul has no pleasure in him."
But we are not of those who shrink back to destruction, but of those who have faith to the saving of the soul.(Hebrews 10:35-39)
Commit your deeds to Yahweh,
and your plans shall succeed.(Proverbs 16:3)
The lot is cast into the lap,
but its every decision is from Yahweh.(Proverbs 16:33)
There are many plans in a man’s heart,
but Yahweh’s counsel will prevail.(Proverbs 19:21)
For the Lord Yahweh will help me.
Therefore I have not been confounded.
Therefore I have set my face like a flint,
and I know that I won’t be disappointed.(Isaiah 50:7)
If anyone desires to do his will, he will know about the teaching, whether it is from God or if I am speaking from myself. (John 7:17)
Then they will be my people, and I will be their God. I will give them one heart and one way, that they may fear me forever, for their good and the good of their children after them.(Jeremiah 32:38,39)
Peter said to them, "Repent and be baptized, every one of you, in the name of Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of sins, and you will receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.(Acts 2:38)
Be subject therefore to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you. Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners. Purify your hearts, you double-minded.(James 4:7,8)
