Poder

Por Bíblia Online –

O poder de Deus opera nos que creem. A Bíblia revela que o cristão recebe poder do alto para viver, servir e vencer — não por força própria, mas pelo Espírito de Deus.

Poder do Espírito Santo

Jesus prometeu que seus seguidores receberiam poder ao descer sobre eles o Espírito Santo. Esse poder capacita para testemunho e serviço.

8 but you shall receive power at the coming of the Holy Spirit upon you, and you shall be witnesses to me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and unto the end of the earth.'

7 for God did not give us a spirit of fear, but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind;

19 lo, I give to you the authority to tread upon serpents and scorpions, and on all the power of the enemy, and nothing by any means shall hurt you;

Poder na Palavra e na fé

A Palavra de Deus é viva e eficaz, mais cortante que espada de dois gumes. O poder não está em palavras, mas na demonstração do Espírito.

12 for the reckoning of God is living, and working, and sharp above every two-edged sword, and piercing unto the dividing asunder both of soul and spirit, of joints also and marrow, and a discerner of thoughts and intents of the heart;

17 'And signs shall accompany those believing these things; in my name demons they shall cast out; with new tongues they shall speak;18 serpents they shall take up; and if any deadly thing they may drink, it shall not hurt them; on the ailing they shall lay hands, and they shall be well.'

12 'Verily, verily, I say to you, he who is believing in me, the works that I do -- that one also shall do, and greater than these he shall do, because I go on to my Father;

Fortalecidos pelo Senhor

Tudo posso naquele que me fortalece. O cristão encontra poder não em si mesmo, mas na força do Senhor e na sua armadura espiritual.

13 For all things I have strength, in Christ's strengthening me;

10 As to the rest, my brethren, be strong in the Lord, and in the power of his might;

11 in all might being made mighty according to the power of His glory, to all endurance and long-suffering with joy.

7 be subject, then, to God; stand up against the devil, and he will flee from you;

39 And having waked up, he rebuked the wind, and said to the sea, 'Peace, be stilled;' and the wind did lull, and there was a great calm:40 and he said to them, 'Why are you so fearful? how have you not faith?'41 and they feared a great fear, and said one to another, 'Who, then, is this, that even the wind and the sea do obey him?'
