14 You will be blessed more than any other people; none of your men or women will be childless, nor will any of your livestock be without young.

7 but the Israelites were exceedingly fruitful; they multiplied greatly, increased in numbers and became so numerous that the land was filled with them.

2 Their children will be mighty in the land; the generation of the upright will be blessed.

13 For you created my inmost being; you knit me together in my mother's womb.14 I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made; your works are wonderful, I know that full well.15 My frame was not hidden from you when I was made in the secret place, when I was woven together in the depths of the earth.16 Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be.

3 Children are a heritage from the LORD, offspring a reward from him.

9 Do I bring to the moment of birth and not give delivery?" says the LORD. "Do I close up the womb when I bring to delivery?" says your God.

13 I can do all this through him who gives me strength.

9 But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.

2 Turn your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue; be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me.

2 From the ends of the earth I call to you, I call as my heart grows faint; lead me to the rock that is higher than I.

11 He tends his flock like a shepherd: He gathers the lambs in his arms and carries them close to his heart; he gently leads those that have young.

3 "Listen to me, you descendants of Jacob, all the remnant of the people of Israel, you whom I have upheld since your birth, and have carried since you were born.4 Even to your old age and gray hairs I am he, I am he who will sustain you. I have made you and I will carry you; I will sustain you and I will rescue you.

15 But women "will be saved through childbearing —if they continue in faith, love and holiness with propriety.

28 Her children arise and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praises her:

1 Adam "made love to his wife Eve, and she became pregnant and gave birth to Cain. "She said, "With the help of the LORD I have brought forth "a man."

1 Now the LORD was gracious to Sarah as he had said, and the LORD did for Sarah what he had promised.2 Sarah became pregnant and bore a son to Abraham in his old age, at the very time God had promised him.

21 Isaac prayed to the LORD on behalf of his wife, because she was childless. The LORD answered his prayer, and his wife Rebekah became pregnant.

20 So in the course of time Hannah became pregnant and gave birth to a son. She named him Samuel, "saying, "Because I asked the LORD for him."

1 Whoever dwells in the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty. [1]2 I will say of the LORD, "He is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust."

7 The LORD will keep you from all harm — he will watch over your life;8 the LORD will watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.

5 "Before I formed you in the womb I knew "you, before you were born I set you apart; I appointed you as a prophet to the nations."

22 "If people are fighting and hit a pregnant woman and she gives birth prematurely "but there is no serious injury, the offender must be fined whatever the woman's husband demands and the court allows.23 But if there is serious injury, you are to take life for life,

15 "Can a mother forget the baby at her breast and have no compassion on the child she has borne? Though she may forget, I will not forget you!

11 And by faith even Sarah, who was past childbearing age, was enabled to bear children because she "considered him faithful who had made the promise.

45 Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!"

46 And Mary said: "My soul glorifies the Lord47 and my spirit rejoices in God my Savior,48 for he has been mindful of the humble state of his servant. From now on all generations will call me blessed,49 for the Mighty One has done great things for me — holy is his name.

9 He settles the childless woman in her home as a happy mother of children. Praise the LORD.

16 I will bless her and will surely give you a son by her. I will bless her so that she will be the mother of nations; kings of peoples will come from her."

3 Your wife will be like a fruitful vine within your house; your children will be like olive shoots around your table.
