Gravidez e maternidade são bênçãos celebradas na Bíblia. Deus forma cada criança no ventre, cuida da mãe e da família, e abençoa a geração dos justos.
Filhos são herança do Senhor
Deus abençoa a fertilidade e o crescimento das famílias. Cada criança é obra de suas mãos, conhecida e amada antes mesmo de nascer.
Força e cuidado na gravidez
Deus dá forças à mulher grávida e a sustenta em cada etapa. Sua graça é suficiente e seu poder se aperfeiçoa na fraqueza.
13 I have strength for anything through Him who gives me power.
9 but His reply has been, »My grace suffices for you, for power matures in weakness.« Most gladly therefore will I boast of my infirmities rather than complain of them–in order that Christ's power may overshadow me.
A bênção da maternidade
A Bíblia honra a maternidade como ministério sagrado. As mães são instrumentos de Deus para formar vidas e transmitir a fé.
15 Yet a woman will be brought safely through childbirth if she and her husband continue to live in faith and love and growing holiness, with habitual self-restraint.
Proteção divina
Deus protege a mãe e o bebê, guardando-os de todo mal. Ele acompanha cada momento com ternura e fidelidade.
Esperança e promessa
A maternidade é caminho de esperança. Como Sara, Ana e Isabel, as mães encontram na fé a força para aguardar as promessas de Deus.
11 Through faith even Sarah herself received strength to become a mother –although she was past the time of life for this– because she judged Him faithful who had given the promise.
45 And blessed is she who has believed, for the word spoken to her from the Lord shall be fulfilled.«
46 Then Mary said: »My soul extols the Lord,47 And my spirit triumphs in God my Saviour;48 Because He has not turned from His maidservant in her lowly position; For from this time forward all generations will account me happy,49 Because the mighty One has done great things for me –Holy is His name!–
