A Palavra de Deus permanece para sempre. As Escrituras foram preservadas por Deus ao longo dos milênios para instrução, consolação e guia de todas as gerações.
A Palavra eterna
Céus e terra passarão, mas as palavras de Deus jamais passarão. Sua Palavra é eterna, infalível e imutável — a verdade que sustenta tudo.
35 Earth and sky will pass away, but it is certain that my words will not pass away.
18 Solemnly I tell you that until Heaven and earth pass away, not one iota or smallest detail will pass away from the Law until all has taken place.
24 »All mankind resemble the herbage, and all their beauty is like its flowers. The herbage dries up, and its flowers drop off;«25 But the word of the Lord remains for ever.« And that means the Message which has been proclaimed among you in the Good News.

A inspiração divina
Toda Escritura é inspirada por Deus. Homens santos falaram da parte do Senhor, e a Palavra escrita é a expressão fiel da vontade divina.
20 But, above all, remember that no prophecy in Scripture will be found to have come from the prophet's own prompting;21 for never did any prophecy come by human will, but men sent by God spoke as they were impelled by the Holy Spirit.
1 God, who in ancient days spoke to our forefathers in many distinct messages and by various methods through the Prophets,2 has at the end of these days spoken to us through a Son, who is the pre-destined Lord of the universe, and through whom He made the Ages.3 He brightly reflects God's glory and is the exact representation of His being, and upholds the universe by His all-powerful word. After securing man's purification from sin He took His seat at the right hand of the Majesty on high,
14 And the Word came in the flesh, and lived for a time in our midst, so that we saw His glory–the glory as of the Father's only Son, sent from His presence. He was full of grace and truth.
A Palavra como guia e tesouro
A Palavra de Deus é lâmpada para os pés, espada do Espírito e tesouro para o coração. Guardá-la e meditá-la nos protege do pecado.
8 But what does it say?»The Message is close to you, in your mouth and in your heart;« that is, the Message which we are publishing about the faith–
17 And this proves that faith comes from a Message heard, and that the Message comes through its having been spoken by Christ.18 But, I ask, have they not heard? Yes, indeed: »To the whole world the preachers' voices have sounded forth, and their words to the remotest parts of the earth.«
4 For all that was written of old has been written for our instruction, so that we may always have hope through the power of endurance and the encouragement which the Scriptures afford.
19 yes, to attain to a knowledge of the knowledge-surpassing love of Christ, so that you may be made complete in accordance with God's own standard of completeness.
3 This is right, and is pleasing in the sight of God our Saviour,4 who is willing for all mankind to be saved and come to a full knowledge of the truth.
