Profecia
A profecia é a voz de Deus revelada ao seu povo. Através dos profetas, Deus comunicou seus planos, advertiu contra o pecado e anunciou a vinda do Messias.
Profecia e revelação divina
A profecia na Bíblia não é invenção humana, mas homens santos de Deus falaram movidos pelo Espírito Santo, revelando os mistérios divinos.
21 For the prophecie came not in olde time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moued by the holy Ghost.
7 Surely the Lord God will doe nothing, but he reueileth his secrete vnto his seruantes the Prophets.
5 And when they heard it, they were baptized in the Name of the Lord Iesus. 6 So Paul layde his handes vpon them, and the holy Ghost came on them, and they spake the tongues, and prophecied.
Profecias messiânicas cumpridas
As profecias do Antigo Testamento sobre o Messias se cumpriram em Jesus. Seu nascimento, ministério e sacrifício foram anunciados séculos antes.
14 Therefore the Lord himselfe will giue you a signe. Beholde, the virgine shall conceiue and beare a sonne, and she shall call his name Immanu-el.
22 And al this was done that it might be fulfilled, which is spoken of the Lord by ye Prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgine shalbe with childe, and shall beare a sonne, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which is by interpretation, God with vs.
9 Reioyce greatly, O daughter Zion: shoute for ioy, O daughter Ierusalem: beholde, thy King commeth vnto thee: he is iust and saued himselfe, poore and riding vpon an asse, and vpon a colt the foale of an asse.
21 But nowe is the righteousnesse, of God made manifest without the Lawe, hauing witnes of the Lawe and of the Prophets, 22 To wit, the righteousnesse of God by the faith of Iesus Christ, vnto all, and vpon all that beleeue.
Discernimento profético
A Bíblia nos alerta para examinar tudo e reter o que é bom. Nem todo que profetiza fala da parte de Deus — devemos provar os espíritos.
1 Dearely beloued, beleeue not euery spirit, but trie the spirits whether they are of God: for many false prophets are gone out into this worlde.
4 Litle children, ye are of God, and haue ouercome them: for greater is he that is in you, then he that is in this world.
21 Try all things, and keepe that which is good. 22 Absteine from all appearance of euill.
15 Beware of false prophets, which come to you, in sheepes clothing, but inwardly they are rauening wolues.
12 Therefore whatsoeuer ye woulde that men should doe to you, euen so doe ye to them: for this is the Lawe and the Prophets.
2 And though I had the gift of prophecie, and knewe all secrets and all knowledge, yea, if I had all faith, so that I could remooue mountaines and had not loue, I were nothing.
19 Nowe therefore ye are no more strangers and forreiners: but citizens with the Saintes, and of the houshold of God, 20 And are built vpon the foundation of the Apostles and Prophets, Iesus Christ himselfe being the chiefe corner stone,
5 Turne againe, and tell Hezekiah the captaine of my people, Thus saith the Lord God of Dauid thy father, I haue heard thy prayer, and seene thy teares: behold, I haue healed thee, and ye third day thou shalt go vp to ye house of ye Lord,
