Deus é próximo dos que o buscam. Ele não é um Deus distante, mas presente, íntimo e acessível a todo o que o invoca com sinceridade de coração.
Buscar a presença de Deus
A Bíblia nos exorta a buscar a face do Senhor continuamente. Quem se aproxima dele encontra plenitude de alegria e delícias perpétuas.
Seek out the LORD and His strength;
seek His face always.
Seek out the LORD and His strength;
seek His face always.
Seek the LORD while He may be found;
call on Him while He is near.
One thing I have asked of the LORD;
this is what I desire:
to dwell in the house of the LORD
all the days of my life,
to gaze on the beauty of the LORD
and seek Him in His temple.
For better is one day in Your courts
than a thousand elsewhere.
I would rather be a doorkeeper in the house of my God
than dwell in the tents of the wicked.
You have made known to me the path of life;
You will fill me with joy in Your presence,
with eternal pleasures at Your right hand.
Deus está perto
O Senhor está perto dos que o invocam, dos quebrantados de coração e dos que clamam por socorro. Sua presença nos sustenta.
The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears;
He delivers them from all their troubles.
The LORD is near to the brokenhearted;
He saves the contrite in spirit.
Let your gentleness be apparent to all. The Lord is near.
But now in Christ Jesus you who once were far away have been brought near through the blood of Christ.
Surely goodness and mercy will follow me
all the days of my life,
and I will dwell in the house of the LORD
forever.
A presença que nunca abandona
Deus promete nunca nos deixar. Ele permanece fiel, está conosco em todo tempo e envia o Espírito para habitar em nossos corações.
I will not leave you as orphans; I will come to you.
May the LORD our God be with us, as He was with our fathers. May He never leave us or forsake us.
But in Your great compassion,
You did not put an end to them;
nor did You forsake them,
for You are a gracious and compassionate God.
Now may the Lord of peace Himself give you peace at all times and in every way. The Lord be with all of you.
Finally, brothers, rejoice! Aim for perfect harmony, encourage one another, be of one mind, live in peace. And the God of love and peace will be with you.
By this we know that we remain in Him, and He in us: He has given us of His Spirit.
No one has ever seen God, but the one and only Son, who is Himself God and is at the Father’s side, has made Him known.
So Moses was there with the LORD forty days and forty nights without eating bread or drinking water. He wrote on the tablets the words of the covenant — the Ten Commandments.
Heal the sick who are there and tell them, ‘The kingdom of God is near you.’
Now the Spirit of God came upon Azariah son of Oded. So he went out to meet Asa and said to him, "Listen to me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin. The LORD is with you when you are with Him. If you seek Him, He will be found by you, but if you forsake Him, He will forsake you. For many years Israel has been without the true God, without a priest to instruct them, and without the law. But in their distress they turned to the LORD, the God of Israel, and sought Him, and He was found by them. In those days there was no safety for travelers, because the residents of the lands had many conflicts. Nation was crushed by nation, and city by city, for God afflicted them with all kinds of adversity. But as for you, be strong; do not be discouraged, for your work will be rewarded."
When Asa heard these words and the prophecy of Azariah son of Oded the prophet, he took courage and removed the detestable idols from the whole land of Judah and Benjamin and from the cities he had captured in the hill country of Ephraim. He then restored the altar of the LORD that was in front of the portico of the LORD’s temple. And he assembled all Judah and Benjamin, along with those from the tribes of Ephraim, Manasseh, and Simeon who had settled among them, for great numbers had come over to him from Israel when they saw that the LORD his God was with him.
So they gathered together in Jerusalem in the third month of the fifteenth year of Asa’s reign. At that time they sacrificed to the LORD seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep from all the plunder they had brought back. Then they entered into a covenant to seek the LORD, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and soul. And whoever would not seek the LORD, the God of Israel, would be put to death, whether young or old, man or woman. They took an oath to the LORD with a loud voice, with shouting, trumpets, and rams’ horns. And all Judah rejoiced over the oath, for they had sworn it with all their heart. They had sought Him earnestly, and He was found by them. So the LORD gave them rest on every side.
King Asa also removed his grandmother Maacah from her position as queen mother because she had made a detestable Asherah pole. Asa chopped down the pole, crushed it, and burned it in the Kidron Valley. The high places were not removed from Israel, but Asa’s heart was fully devoted all his days. And he brought into the house of God the silver and gold and the articles that he and his father had dedicated.
And there was no war until the thirty-fifth year of Asa’s reign.
